I really enjoyed this book, so much so that I finished it in one day. When I had reached the half-way point and Emilie hadn’t had a seizure, I was prepared to give a less enthusiastic review. But I think the author’s timing for the seizure was absolutely perfect and made the occurrence have a significance that might otherwise have been less effective. While the author didn’t really make any deviations from recognizable tropes of the genre, this book is still well-written and makes an enjoyable addition to my bookshelf.
