It's a story about women written by a woman. It was published in the year 1933 and it tells a brave story in a way that's up close and personal. It shows a reality you rarely get a glimpse off and it's told with such warmth and in such style and with outspokenness you don't expect from that time. I'm glad I finally got around to read this book.
