I adore the Mike Bennett series, probably a bit more than the Alex Cross novels. I would love to see Agent Parker back in the next Bennett novel! I really enjoyed this read.

Grabbed this from the library this afternoon as a quick 4 day read :) Very excited!

This was the first book in the Bennett series that I've read, I enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading the rest in the series.

Enjoyed listening to this one in the car. The narrator does a great job with nice sound effects. Not sure if I should follow the character in sequence.

I used to love him but it seems like he tries to just publish books as fast as he can.

3.5. I'm honestly reading this series mostly to see when Mike gets with his nanny, Mary Catherine, but it's still quintessential Patterson and entertaining to boot.

James Patterson’s books are made with the aim of getting someone into reading, and they would achieve that, they just don’t happen to appeal to me.

You know what you’re getting with James Patterson and his Detective Bennett series and this was exactly what I was expecting. It’s the third in the series and can be read out of sequence as it explains the set-up along the way.
The idea of someone kidnapping and killing rich students unless they pass a test to prove they are worthy of being allowed to live is an interesting one and Mike Bennett is helped in the solving by FBI agent Emily Parker.
