This book was decent. It was a fast read as all of Patterson's other books are.

Which way is Bennett's head going to turn yet another great read in the series.

Not as good as the first ones of the series I read, but still entertaining and a decent book. The ending didn't seem as suspenseful, but the meaning/moral behind the book was excellent.

This was a really nice palette cleanser. It's been a while since I've read a thriller and I sometimes forget how much I enjoy a good thriller. Especially ones that follow serial killers.

Every book requires a good bad guy. If it doesn't have a good bad guy then it makes things not nearly as interesting. One of the reasons The Dark Knight is so interesting is because Heath Ledger's Joker is so amazing. The reason The Avengers: Endgame is so great is because of Thanos. If you have a compelling villain, you can intensify your story 100 fold.

This story had a good bad guy. A guy who thinks that everything he is doing is righteous. He clearly thinks that everyone else is the villain while he is the hero of his own story. I love villains like that.

And it's a good thing they had a good villain because everyone else was very blah. Not horrible or awful to follow, but definitely felt pretty cookie cutter. Like, they are good protags, but they also aren't super compelling.

The audio of this was really fun though. All 3 of the narrators did a fantastic job. There were sound effects upped the ante to the whole story and were added in at great moments.

A fun book that wasn't mind blowing, but if you like these kinds of stories its pretty enjoyable.

As usual, enjoyed this James Patterson book. I am liking the Michael Bennett character and hope to see more of him!
