You know what you’re getting with James Patterson and his Detective Bennett series and this was exactly what I was expecting. It’s the third in the series and can be read out of sequence as it explains the set-up along the way.
The idea of someone kidnapping and killing rich students unless they pass a test to prove they are worthy of being allowed to live is an interesting one and Mike Bennett is helped in the solving by FBI agent Emily Parker.
