As an avid reader, I find that it's not uncommon to fall in love with a character or thoroughly wish that they were real. This book is about just that. It has a very good plot. I loved the illustrations and events. It is a simple love story and a true modern day fairy tale. I could very much relate to the main character, Delilah, who feels like she doesn't really fit in anywhere and who uses books as an escape. I wish that I could create my own world and have it come to life through the reader.

I read this book as part of a reading challenge that was supposed to be out of my comfort zone. I typically don’t read magical realism and I was drawn into this sweet story between outcast Delilah and Prince Oliver who wanted to escape his never-ending loop of a fairy tale and wanted a chance to live for real.
The collaboration between Picoult and her daughter was indeed, nothing short of magical, and I would recommend for a quick, fun read.

What if after we finished a book and closed it, the character inside the book are live and have their own thought? This is happened in this book. The character in the book are just actually playing their role, like an actor in the movie.
Delilah, is a lonely girl who love to read a children book story with beautiful illustrated many times. She spent her time by re-reading Between The Lines book. That from her school library.
She becomes attracted to the main character, named Prince Oliver who is in the story has to save Princess Seraphima.
He is handsome and a good kind hearted, and she hopes The Prince is real in her world.
One day, she realized that something odd happened in the book, she was sure that Prince Oliver is moving and tried to talk to herself. She thought she was crazy, the worse part is.. Only she who could hear him.
He needs her help to get out from the book.. Because he didn't want to be in the book and played the repeated role again and again anymore.
Actually i feel the book is boring and a bit part of the book that i skipped..

I was not expecting this book to go the way it did! At first I rolled my eyes at the opening sentence and thought, "Oh no! This is gong to be some toddler book." But, instead, there was a lot more to it. Though it was a little childish, but in a good way, I still enjoyed myself as I read the story. I couldn't put the book down! I wish Goodreads would let you do half a star because this book was a 3.5. It was cute and witty, definitely a feel good book.

I found this book wildly engaging. I read it in five hours, in one sitting. I loved the artwork in this book added so much detail, and greatly helped me embrace the story. I though the plot was intriguing, and there are no other books like this, and I can say 100% that there won't be another one like it.

I did not enjoy this one at all. The language is quite juvenile, the plot and characters seemed unfinished it seemed like it was a race to finish it quickly so little time was spent developing characters and filling in plot holes.
However, even though I didn’t enjoy it and I admit I skipped quite a bit of it – it is an amazing effort for someone so young (I am assuming from the writing style that Jodi Picoult did not write much of this).

The premise of this book reminded me of the film 'The Purple Rose of Cairo' in which a woman attends the same film several times and then suddenly one of the characters on the screen starts talking to her instead of saying his usual lines. A teenaged girl becomes infatuated with a fairy tale prince in a book she has checked out of the school library multiple times, and then one day the prince talks back to her from the pages. They become quite besotted with each other and her mother becomes worried about her daughter's behaviour. Lovely illustrations.
