I loved this book!! It was my first read by Catherine Cowles, and it didn't disappoint. Such a great story, with a hint of suspense to keep you turning each page to find out what happens next.
I just couldn't get enough of her story telling and went on to buy more of her books.

This book is simply a masterpiece. I was enraptured by this story from the moment I started it. Austin and Carter are the cutest, and I could not get enough of them. The story kept me captivated.
Carter is sweet, innocent, and so full of life. I want her to be my best friend. She loved unapologetically, and ugh I was so made at Austin when he broke her heart. The grovelling he had to do was rightly just.
Austin is a dream boyfriend once he got his shit together. He is protective, hot, and so sweet to Carter. I was drooling over him the entire time.
I loved how their friendship developed into something more. It made my heart burst with all the warm fuzzies. Blue just cracked me up with all of his doggie shenanigans when it came to Austin.
Oh my god... The stalker are you kidding. You almost had me convinced Catherine. The way I was so tense until they caught the person was on another level.
I honestly loved this book from the romance to the story to everything in between.

I love MMA Romance. I don't know why but I am always attracted to them so I was very excited to read this one.
Further to Fall is Catherine Cowles debut book where an elementary school teacher, the proverbial good girl and an up and coming MMA fighter come together.
While the story was nice, it just didn't check all the boxes I was hoping it was going to and by large I think it has to do with the heroine and her overall personality.
Carter is innocent and inexperienced and being around little children her use of "bad words" is non-existent and I completely loved that. It is such a novelty to find a character that is not battered or bruised from their past and is genuinely a good person and her friendship with Austin was my favourite.
But keeping all that aside Carter lacked. There is a fine line between being good and innocent and being naive and Carter was more of the latter. There were certain instances in the book where her gut instincts should have peaking and raising alarms but she was quiet and trustworthy. She honestly felt a tad mousy.
Throughout the story, I had hoped that she would grow and not be so blind to what was so obvious and happening right under her nose.
There was always this want for more.
I mean, don't get me wrong, the story is good but in terms of the development of the characters and plotline, it could have used more work. As I said, there was just something more that I was hoping for.
2.5 Stars!

This was a thrilling second chance romance! I haven’t read to many books about MMA fighters, but this one really drew me, and I couldn’t put it down.

This was a great book that I really enjoyed from start to finish!
I thought Carter was a great character and I loved that she was a teacher and really wanted to help the kids. I loved her friendship with Liam and how he was always there for her as much as possible. Her new friendship with Taylor was also great but I definitely didn’t trust her roommate Lexi.
Austin was a jerk at the beginning and you kind of feel bad when you learn about his bad breakup with his ex, Hailey. Part of you knew he had to be a good guy as he was friends with Liam but I knew things would get messy when he said he didn’t want a relationship due to his career.
I understood completely why Carter needed a break due to her feelings and I was so mad at the club with what she saw. I was so mad at Lexi with the messages she would send Carter. I was also super mad at Austin and how he turned to drinking and other things to deal with how he was trying to deny his own feelings. I wasn’t too sure about seeing Carter move on with Kyle but I could tell she wasn’t over Austin.
When the things started to go crazy with Carter I had a couple of guesses of who was behind it and I was right. I was definitely worried for Carter as things began to escalate! The end was definitely scary and I was very proud of Carter’s dog Blue!
The very end and epilogue were great and I look forward to another book by this author!
