This was okay - a free/cheap Kindle purchase at some point, and I needed a little book to tide me over. It had enough plot to keep me interested and it read very quickly. I did find some typos as other users pointed out, including in one spot mixing up the names of the characters, and that kind of thing always pulls me out of the flow of a book.

An average read/listen. Listened on Spotify. Decent narrator.

Quick afternoon read. This book was FREE in iBooks as Part I of a series about the novel’s main character, Chloe Fine. It’s definitely a book that can stand alone, meaning, it was wrapped up enough at the end you don’t NEED book 2 unless you’re just invested in the characters. While this was an easy read, I’m not invested. Just ok. Probably won’t be paying for Book 2

Whilst this story was engaging and I was keen to find out what really happened it was also extremely implausible. I found it hard to believe that an FBI Intern would be allowed to be investigating a case which involved a member of their own family or that a qualified FBI agent and his senior would allow it. This got in the way of an otherwise good story.

My first audiobook! Every character in this was annoying and the ending was so predictable. If I was physically reading this book, I doubt I would have finished. Kept me company on my walks though!

This one was interesting but not great. There was little in the story to really make it stand out in the mystery/thriller realm. I thought the story of the girls sitting on the steps as their dad was cuffed interesting but the rest of it was just...odd.
No one talked in this book. I can't believe there are so many adults in the story with the complete inability to actually open their mouths and communicate. I also found the police procedure and a lot of the reactions off. Case in point, no one goes to 'prison' unless their sentence is >12 months (even convictions <12 months don't go to 'prison') and instead would be in county lock up (jail). There were other points but it was easy to gloss over. Meh, it was okay but didn't stand out.

Uma narrative de suspense e mistérios, muito boa, na qual as irmãs gêmeas Chloe e Danielle são obrigadas a enfrentar o passado e as próprias dores. Gostei bastante.
