I enjoyed it as much as the first "Defect" Part! It's a short and easy read and you can finish it in one sitting.
The characters are likeable and realistic and especially Anders is a mystery. Why did he help Serena? Why is he not scared? What does he know? I'm not sure if we should trust him ...
It's fast-paced with lots of action, so you can't stop reading, even if you would want to. You're constantly on edge and want to know what happens next - it's really captivating! I'm already looking forward to the next installment! ;)

What I really enjoyed in the first books ... well, it just annoyed me in "Dark Flame". I'm talking about Haven but also Ever. Her decisions were just ?!?! and Haven was overall just annoying ... right from the beginning. And yes, i definitely wanted to slap her a few times, ugh. To be honest, i still don't know what to think about this book. It wasn't all that bad but it wasn't really good either.
But still, there were some scenes i really liked:
And i also quite enjoyed the ending - the scene where Ever tries to show Roman where Drina is ... when Jude killed him (i knew it!), because oh well, of course it couldn't end like this, no way. *sigh*
It took me a while to finally start the forth book of this series and yes, I'm a little disappointed. The series had so much potential. *sighs again*

For example, Damen & Ever on her birthday ... the field with all the tulips and the pavillion and to "see" all their lifes. I could picture it perfectly and i really liked the whole atmosphere in this situation. And i also quite enjoyed the ending - the scene where Ever tries to show Roman where Drina is ... when Jude killed him (i knew it!), because oh well, of course it couldn't end like this, no way. *sigh*
