This is my second fave of the series I'd say, with Orpheus and Reia still being #1 in my heart. I skipped around a lot, which was an odd move on my part, but regardless I really liked Emerie's character 

I think Lucia was the most interesting character of the bunch, followed by Bennedith because of how she helped Santiago in the end.

I considered DNF-ing at first because my immediate reaction to the characters were that they were a bit insufferable but I kept going, partially because I like the writing style, but mostly because this book is relatively short so I knew I could knock it out and see what the hype was surrounding it.

I liked Regan's character quite a lot (maybe cause I also have mommy issues, who knows) and I liked that there was a clear delineation to the reader of when she kind of went into this hypo/manic state to the reader prior to her even mentioning it. I thought Blake did a great job with making part IV especially feel frenzied and rushed like a manic episode when Regan and Aldo finally got together. I loved when Regan and the psychiatrist finally had that breakthrough cause god did it make me anxious for Regan to be in this sustained manic episode without any support.

I think a big strength of this book was that it felt very cinematic reading this. IRL, both Aldo and Regan would be awful to be around but I really got invested in their story and how it was going to play out. I'd be lying if I said I didn't have just this overwhelming feeling of dread in the last 50 or so pages of the book that things weren't going to work out for them. 

I appreciate that the first line of acknowledgements discusses how Regan was able to live without medications, but that is not the norm. Don't stop taking your pills willy-nilly!!!

I KNEW IT WAS ENZO FOLLOWING HER. And also I gasped when it was Marybeth at the cabin!!!!! And then I gasped again when it was Millie who gave her the dig!!!!

Damn this one legitimately shocked me!!!!

The overall plot was very similar to The Last Mrs. Parrish up until the part where Millie really slayed!!! I wasn't completely shocked by Evelyn but the moment between her and Nina still made me gasp just a smidge when she revealed the extent of her "parenting"

I was a little taken aback when she described herself as juicy but overall a v cute love story

Why are they all so pissed at Alice!!! It's not like the stupid town told her anything!!!

Tbh I don't blame Maggie for wreaking havoc cause she got the short end of the stick with the being brutally murdered AND having some stupid kids fucking on her grave.

I'm pleasantly surprised with Darl (very slay of him) but I was also kind of hoping that he'd end up shooting the three just because what a hopeless scenario they're left with

I'm not a huge fan of the directionless FMC but I loved it when Merry read Shane for FILTH

I didn't mind the religious overtones but the 23 vs 37 was a little dodgy for me
