Reasons for not liking this one ..
.
Too slow with too much detailing ..which definitely spoils the purpose in a thriller..
.
I never felt that it's a thriller. Just coping with their own lies and being scared but nothing scary happend..
.
Ofcourse predictable. 
Like each and every twist was predictable (if you call them twist)
.
Also nothing new in plot .
This story of liars is around for really long ..
It's like she dived into some old plot ..
.
The protagonist was wary of everything. always thinking of what will go wrong. She was nothing like that carefree lair they said they were when they were young ..
.
Also the title and the suspense are forced to compliment each other ..
.
And many more 
I don't want to think that I wasted my time in reading 450 pages to find mistakes
So I am stopping.

Yeah give this to someone who reads thrillers very rarely. Only they can love it ..

As I said before I liked Italy part and then Bali was also really good..
While reading India it was mostly her problems and recovering from them .. Spirituality which was kind of good too but the way she mentioned India (which was very less) is something I didn't like hence I didn't like India part much..
And the problems and complaint thing, 
I have read many people complain and I could also relate to them but I couldn't with her.

I liked all the people she mentioned and liked them too but I couldn't like her and couldn't like her views on India.
It also made me realize that she has written her view of India and in same way She might have written view of Italy and Bali, i am reading about both for first time hence I might have liked it
.
Also I don't understand how it's spiritual journey if you just keep on eating whatever you want without bothering about weight...it's as good as hiding your pain behind food..(in Italy)
.
Also how to consider one chapter on vaginal infection due to excessive sex as Spiritual Journey ??
(That too when she had decided she wanted to be celibate for an entire year)

After checking out Google to know how her life is now I realized that this whole spiritual journey was waste.
Or maybe that journey was her excuse ..
She got back to same thing she was running away from in the beginning of the book..
.
In the book she has given many reasons to why she left her husband 
And reality is a bit different ..
It seems like she tried to clear her image and give reasons to why she left her husband through this book .. and many of her response in interviews didn't help in changing her image formed in my mind ..

I loved Italy and I loved Bali and hence the 2 stars for those two .. 
I also loved all the people she mentioned in the book..

I don't know whether mentioning things we find in Google will be considered as spoiler or not ...
It's upto you to decide ..

In this book, in Bali she meets this wonderful man and they fall in love and in next installment of the book says that they got married ..
And after that google says 
She left him for another woman 
Like she had left her first husband for another man..

I was really upset in knowing that she left this Bali guy. 😞
They had also sworn lifelong fidelity to each other 😬..
Some people might be ok with it 
But I don't know I am not.
Not ok with cheating ever ..

I am not feeling good about this book and I will not read any more books by her.
I wanted to read city of girls but I know all she wants to say is it's ok to give time to yourself ..
But let me ask ...is it ok to have me time and leave your family behind ??
Is is ok to leave your family behind to achieve spiritual awakening ..?
Haven't we called that abandoning when Men did these things ???

She calls it self care and me time but truly it's her new attitude towards love, commitment, and marriage. 
Well it seems her definition of commitment is different 😌..

I will not tell you the blurb and also I will suggest you never to read blurb of a mystery or thriller..
In this book reading blurb spoiled my excitement...coz since lase few thrillers and mystery I had stopped reading blurb before or while reading ...
.
I will just say a woman fell in love with a guy who is in prison ...
That's it ..
Don't try to read blurb further.

So 
Beginning was great, I was literally  hooked. Till half of the book I was very much interested..
Then things went slow for a while ..
But I was hoping it will get better by the end..
But end was all rushed..
No explanation nothing ..
I think some talk about the mental condition should also be discussed it's psychological thriller so that's expected..
And I had also expected something else which didn't came..
So yeah it was ok read for me..
.
Infact the end could have been much better ..(I got few ideas for alternative ending 😂)
That's coz Story was great in the beginning..
And some brilliant end would have made it much better.
.
I would say you can skip it even though I am giving it 3 stars 
Coz I can't ask you to read it coz first half was good And the premise was kind off different..
.
If you are regular thriller reader you can try.. 
Like i would have tried 😀.

Easy language, illustrations are good.. Good for children and Adults who want to read easy version of Gita

 Interesting name isn't it 
 The Story is also kind off different 
 From the first chapter we are trying to get to the murdered as murder was committed one year ago and was declared as suicide..
 .
 We get to know all the characters and their role in that particular day..
 Story was nice and end was also kinda cool..
 .
 End wasn't that shocking but it was kind off different that what we normally see..
 So I was ok with it..

 Also after a long time I read a Christie without Poirot. 
 Otherwise he is always there and I felt kind off weird while reading it coz there was no detective going on since start and bringing your attention to the small things like Poirot does. Like I don't know something was missing.
 .
 There are too many references to many age old classics and result was lot of spoiler for me as I hadn't read most of those 😂.
 Coz of these classics references I also felt I should clear my classics backlog I am too behind in reading classics even after reading atlest two classics each month.
 .
 This time while reading mystery i realised that everytime we start a Mystery or a thriller Mystery our brain starts working. In this one it started working since first chapter which is a pretty good sign.. 
 Our attention while reading a Mystery is so intact. Like nothing can stop me from catching the murderer. 
 Yeah I read this in a day..
 That's the magic of good Mystery, half is done by The name of Christie itself.
 .
 By the time we reach the end the attention level goes so high that you miss few words and even sentences. Even if you read everything there are chances (when you read with that speed) that you read but things didn't materialize in your mind. This is not intentional skipping but it happens unconsciously. Missing few words and yet you are well aware how it's going on. After finishing you will remember what happend in the end but somethings didn't register there were few doubts which if you read last few pages again slowly might get cleared..
 .

Even though it's not funny 
Coz the topic 
It's pretty serious topic 
But you can't imagine someone write this or think this way from a Flea..

Identity . Someone is running from it .
Someone trying to find it .someone hiding it. Someone somewhere is figuring it out ..
What's the think with identity ...
Someone somewhere is having identity crisis but their parents are not aware about it.. sometimes even friends don't know what going on with their friend.
Many times Parent themselves had identity issue but when their kids have it they don't understand it ..
Well this book talks on this topic a lot.

Twin sisters Born as coloured person with white skin were confused about where they belong are they white coz of their skin or coloured coz of their Ancestors ..?
Should they cover themselves with hat to keep the whiteness intact or 
Should go to the river and get tanned ?
.
Both decided to find themselves by running away from their country to the city..
"You can escape a town, but you cannot escape blood." 
And both of them choose different life..
And then how the story unfolds..
When one sister leaves other to go on different path what will the other do, coz they were together since the time they were in their mothers womb ..

What problems both faced in their particular life and how they raised their daughters in totally different environment from each other ..
How eventually the daughters meet..

There are many instances which show what a privilege it is to be white skinned like :

 “I just liked who I was with him.”
“White.”
“No,” Stella said. “Free.”
Desiree laughed. “Same thing, baby.”

Thai freedom was not free for the coloured people even for coloured people with white skin..
.
Most of us might not even know what this term means "coloured white people" is ...
There is a whole town of coloured people with white skin..
The problems faced by coloured people with white skin is something I saw for the first time.
Infact I never heard something like this they look as good as any white person but they were still coloured 
And this affected their mind.
You can't be white for your skin,
you are coloured coz you are from coloured family.
In the town full of coloured white people a coloured person is still scorned and hated like anything.
This town shown in the book is imaginary town but there are such towns in America..

This is the story of the twins and their daughter infact of mother of the twins..
She is also mentioned a lot here.
But there should have been something about what the mother felt when the girls left, which is not mentioned.. both sisters longed to meet their mother ..
And for mother she was crazy for her twins and knew then inside out ❤️

There wer some parts which could have been shortened or made more Interesting..(I felt the daughters lives was shown too much in detail,  like it could have been shortened)
The end could have been much better.. like it ended abruptly.. 
(If I say what I missed it would be spoiler)

Other than all these everything worked 
It is worth all the hype I can say.
You guys should definitely read it.

Definitely one of the beat Inspirational book..
Great quotes and thoughts makes it a perfect read ..
