I received a copy of this book from the author so thank you to C.B. Cook in exchange for an honest review.

So despite my love of the idea of the story I found the book simply too one dimensional for me. . .? The world felt small and closed off and the characters to me seemed one dimensional as well.

The only character that somehow got my interest was Blaze . I was so intrigued by his character and I think it helped that his real name was never revealed.

But the writing style seemed too kiddy of a read to me. It was a quick read and even though I was amused by the characters I can't help but somehow feel annoyed at how shallow they seemed to be. It seemed to be more of a Middle Grade book than a YA book

It wasn't all bad but this book is probably more for YA readers who are just getting a feel of the genre and who are just starting out.

oh yes. yes. I got exactly what I was asking for. I don't even care if I can't relate to some of the poems because I know there are people out there whose thoughts were written in this poetry book.

not cliche. yes. I needed this.

This book is so damn good. The plot is is average but the characters are so complicated and confusing which just makes the book much better. Even the writing style can't help but pull you in.

There are so many deaths that it pierces my heart every time. All my favorite minor characters are getting killed but I really have to say that this series is not what I expected.

This is not a casual read. I have invested in a new fandom and I don't regret it.
