Daydream by Hannah Grace

This book came out yesterday and trust me you should be running to pick it up! It’s a sports romance, hockey to be precise, but it’s not full of hockey like some it’s just sprinkled throughout. It’s also not full of smut which was refreshing, the first two in the series were quite heavy handed so this was a nice change! (There’s nothing wrong with that, it’s just a nice change when every popular book seems full of it lately 😂)
I loved the sweet relationship between Halle and Henry! it’s a slow burn, friends to lovers trope nestled into a feel good heartwarming romance. It’s the third in the Maple Hills series so it’s full of the characters we’ve come to know and love from the first two books.
I don’t actually have anything negative to say about this, I read it in a day sat in the sun as it’s a really easy read, soft romance - daydream is the perfect name! It’s a good one to pick up to get you out of a slump or just for the feel good vibes!

The Summer You Found Me by Elizabeth O'Roark

In this books Caleb’s ex Kate is trying to win him back after getting clean. She’s back in town but secretly living with Caleb’s best friend Beck. Both of these characters are wild cards which leads to some fun scenes! The book touches on some hard hitting topics (Kate is an addict,
Beck is working through grief) but the slow burn romance between the two really carried the book for me!
I was never into book series but I have the fourth in the series ready to read but I think I want to save it for a few weeks so I don’t get burnt out! (the fourth one was gifted, the other three are in the 3 for £6 deal at the Works)

I think this was my favourite of the three in the series I’ve read so far, I loved Lucie and Caleb! Lucie is a single mum who’s just left her ex husband, she returns to her childhood home where she runs into her childhood crush Caleb. Caleb just so happens to be the CEO at her new company - you can see where this is going! I was fully invested, there are a lot of subplots that add to the romance and similarly to the first book they sometimes take precedence which I enjoyed!
The Au Pair Affair by Tessa Bailey
3.5
I actually surprisingly enjoyed this! I’m not a massive Tessa Bailey fan and I really didn’t like the first book in this series but I needed an audiobook for a long drive and I knew this would do the trick! It has characters from the same universe as the first book except this is a hockey romance not a golf romance. It’s a fun easy read,
NSFW, but a good one to binge!

If I Were You by Cesca Major
3.0
I really wanted to love this! Cesca Majors last book was one of my favourites but this just missed the mark for me. It’s about a couple who end up in each others body whilst at a family wedding and all the madness that follows. But for me the couple spent most of the book arguing and it was full of tension, I would have preferred some softer and more lighthearted moments. I wasn’t overly invested in the couple which I need to be when reading a romance book.
The Match by Sarah Adams

I listened to the audiobook for this and I loved it. It was exactly what I expected from a Sarah Adams book, sweet, romantic and full of lovely characters! I already have the second book in the series ready to go!

I have been waiting for this! This year I’ve really started to enjoy book series, I love seeing a new love story hinted at in the book before and I couldn’t wait for Charlie and Nova’s story!
If you’ve read any of the Lovelight Farm books you’ll enjoy this, it has the same light writing style that makes the book super bingeable without feeling repetitive. I loved seeing this story unfold with the characters from previous books interwoven into the story!
I flew through this over a weekend and wish I didn’t so I could have savoured it but I was sucked in! A few of you messaged to say you were going to start the series in autumn because of the cosy vibes and I couldn’t recommend it more!

I picked this up on a whim in The Works after loving another western series, I was looking for something similar that I could fly through without giving it too much head space and it definitely delivered!
I think I read this in one sitting on a sunny day in the garden, i love it when I gripped by a book and that’s exactly what happened here. It’s a bothers best friend, known each other their whole lives, live on a ranch romcom - you know the drill 😂 but I loved the characters and the writing style was so easy to fall into. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Love Letters to a Serial Killer by Tasha Coryell

I wasn’t sure what to make of this at first but i really enjoyed it! It’s different to my usual reads but in a brilliant way, it was nice to have a break from romcoms even if the main character is falling in love with a serial killer! It was a really fun read and I’d definitely pick something up by the author again!
