This was the swoony book I needed. I love Kerry Winfrey’s writing style of the perfect rom-coms. Teddy is just trying to find herself after a horrible relationship and who knew the tall, dark, and handsome version of Jim Henson was just what the doctor ordered! (Yes, there is a lot of talk about puppets….and Taco Bell). Full of best friendships and self discovery, a solid win!

BRB while I go grab another box of tissues.

This book was everything I’ve come to expect from TJR. Being Hispanic myself, I couldn’t get enough of the Spanglish and underlying cultural nuances. This is probably one of my favorite representations of a father/daughter relationship I’ve see in a long time in books. Everyone in this book has messed up big in life but it’s folks just trying to make it right. I’m not even a major tennis fan and I devoured this book. Well done. A million stars.

Great follow up to the first book, however, would work as a standalone. The audiobook is a full cast, which is helpful when you have so many POVs. I thought a one of the main reveals was a little  underwhelming with so much build up but it really was a solid thriller from the queen.
