Finding common ground

This book starts with a heartbreaking moment for a family who was a victim of health insurance denials. With the death of his father because he was denied treatments Maximo plans to find out more.

The USA healthcare system is a mess and this book finds two people who lost their parent because of it.

Julia is working multiple jobs to pay off medical debt. However, when a man comes into the coffee shop everything starts to change.

The chemistry between these characters is absolutely fire.

Adventures and fever dreams

This book was really good. We have a boat captain running the last tour of the season. His passengers include someone from his past, a gorgeous woman and an unexpected criminal.

All of these characters have a reason for being on this adventure. They all have revelations they will have to face. Each person will have to face their past and present then decide what their future will be.

Love and devestation

This book does not end well for the mate group. I'm so angry and upset at that ending and I need the next book immediately.

I spent most of the hooking loving all the history and revelations. I spent the afternoon laughing at the antics from the new characters. Living with the fear of what the council was doing always in the back of my mind.

That revelation near the end and then what happens during that last confrontation left me crying in anger and sadness. I have no idea what to expect next or hot to get past that moment.

EL Finley I am very angry with you right now. Bravo for that unexpected heartbreak. I am not okay with that at all.

Hawk Shifter and his mate

This was short story that was very basic. It starts with a battle field injury that injures several  people and shifters.

This major injury to Hawke leads to him being out for a while with his buddy. He is pushed to find his mate though already knows who she is. So he signs up for a dating service and gets paired with his commanding office who is actually his mate.

The rest is them becoming mates and it is descriptive but doesn't make you feel the passion that is being stated. Overall it was a cute book.

I honestly thought there was going to be more to it and that it would be spicier. 3.5 stars

Debut novel with a bite

Come meet Kara who is an anomaly in the supernatural community. Her mother is a witch but she is not. She also doesn't know anything about her father. Now her mother and stepfather have moved their family into a wolf packs territory.

The Alpha of the pack wasn't able to stop the family moving in but he will be putting it on his son Merrin to make the family want to leave.

Tay and Seb will be Merrin's Beta's when he takes over the pack. These boys have been best friends all their lives and it makes sense to them. The current Beta is very upset about the need for two Beta's when it has never been needed before. He thinks it makes his son a failure and this causes a big falling out that pushes Tay and Seb together more than ever before.

As the boys set in to torment the new girl they find that their wolves are not as on board as they should be. The girl is pretty but that shouldn't matter especially since she isn't a wolf.

The more the boys discover the more questions they find. However, even Kara doesn't have the answers they may be needing.

I am super excited to see what happens next. Some of it is obvious but I'm super interested in knowing about the answers to those important questions. Nothing is quite as it seems.

Congratulations Kyla and I need the rest of this story immediately. LOL

Senior year at a new school

Ryver's father has finally retired from the military and they have moved into the father's hometown. The last thing he wanted to do was move again. He had been promised he would get his senior year with the friends he had made.

Standing and staring at yet another new school he can't seem to gather himself to actually enter the building. As the crowd forces him in he finds himself in a near panic when a soothing voices reaches him. Meeting Jorrin has shifted his reality and now he has to figure out what to do now.

In this little MO town in the middle of the Bible belt he is forced to face the fact that what or rather who makes his heart race won't be readily accepted. Plus his father will certainly disown him...right?

This is a coming of age story where our lead character has to accept that against all odds he is going to be a proud gay man. The story is done in a way that you feel all the anxieties and uncertainties as well as his determination.

The school dance was freaking epic though.

OMG.....holy freaking....what the.....

That ending is absolutely brutal and I absolutely need book two because I need to know what happens next.

So this an extremely brutal bully book. If you don't want to see the FMC broken down over and over you best skip this one.

Everleigh is just trying to keep her family together since their mother is sick. She needs to finish this year of school so she can get herself a better job. She has 3 younger siblings though one is 18 now.

When three men from her past transfer to her college everything changes and not for the better. Ashton is holding a grudge for something that happened three years ago. His two best friends (who were also her friends) are a long for his revenge plan.

I really love that this book makes you absolutely love and hate the MMCs. Everyone is lost in so many mixed emotions: anger, regret, love, want, longing, fear, hope, passion.

I seriously want to beat the crud out of the men in this book. Not just the main ones but all the others too. I really really need to know what happens next because nothing looks good right now.

I even told the author I loved the book but currently hate her. She laughed about it and I just know it was an evil laugh. LMAO

Never saw that ending coming

So this book picks up where book one ended. Vincent is being tortured by his father.

Zane and Callyx are now two separate people though they may as well be twins. They are currently with a demon named Alistair who knew Vincent. When Amri arrives they are able to find her and bring her to the Demons home. Now it's time to figure out what happened to Damion and free Vincent.

This story is full of character growth:
Overcoming trauma from torture
Finding where and how you fit
Discovering your worth
Learning and honing abilities
Accepting all the love among the mate group

The last few chapters of this book were such a rollercoaster of emotions. However, after the live, heartbreak and tears I never saw that ending coming. I absolutely can't wait to see what the heck will be happening in the next book but I need to know as soon as freaking possible.

Murder, connection, and Greek life

One thing about duets....they almost always leave you gasping for more and this one us no different.

The men in this book have all made mistakes and they are forced to own up to them.

This book drags you in right from the beginning and as you get deeper into the murder, mystery and relationships keep your attention.

Who is behind everything that is going on? I'm so deep in this I absolutely need to know what happens next. I seriously read this book in one sitting and forgot to go to bed. Seriously its 7am and I am still trying to figure out what's going on.

This book was so well written. I love this story and I have hope that part two will be just as good or better.

The Valkyrie and her Raven

Wow.....

This book had me on edge the entire time. I am so invested in finding out what the heck is going on in this freaking Academy. What is happening to cause these supernaturals full of life to become husks of themselves and denying their natural instincts.

How can a vampire or reaper survive without their life source. I mean it is barely surviving but they are not dead....

I know what went wrong with Clay and hate that they don't and it broke my heart. A freaking reaper who is the best golden retriever character. I love how each of the characters is so different and they all came looking for something. I just want to wrap them all up in hugs.

But seriously with that ending what the feck is going on. Who is that character and what the heck did he mean.

I absolutely can not wait to see what happens next. I need answers so badly. This was just a taste and I need to eat the full meal.
