So, i have had this one on my shelves for a while. I did even start it a while back but could not get into it.
I say the storygraph app that i am doing a trail for had it on audio so i thought i would give it a go again.
At first the angsty narrator did not help but its a pretty angsty story so it kinda fit.
I liked the spunk of our main caracter, hated her blind spot conserning bash for realy this guy is to good to be true. I dont think he realy cares i think he played a realy long game.
Im interested to see if she forgives him or forever holds a grunge. And im wondering why nobody could tell her about his origins for that was not realy part of the curse right.
Well looks like im getting to book 2 quicker then i anticipated.😄

So i loved the rich asian inspired mythologie story. Enjoyed the storyline of the female lead and the god of war.
I liked the relationship she has with her childhood friend / fiance.
Though the story was beautifull i thought i ould have time to connect deeper to the caacters for i thought this was the first part in a duology. Imagine my confusion when all the open questions were answered in the last 50 pages.
I acctualy went back to the listings to make sure this was actualy a stand alone.

So just like the last 2 books i enjoyed this book. I like the speed by wich it barrels along like a train. I liked the hunt for the 7th dragon race. Im interested in knowing more of the Dune sect. S9o i liked the fantasy elementen of the book.
The thing that was a little bit of a letdown were all the relationships and all the strife.
It does not feel like we are working together towards the same goal here. Everthing is a fight and we constantly have to go against orders. Why! We are trying to save as many people as we can from the bad guys right, why is this a struggle.
Also there are very few if any nice moments between people like we had in the first two books. These people are dropping like flies and i know this is to show how serious this war is getting that we lose more of our cast. But jou have to give me more lovely moments with them so i actualy care when they die.
There was al together to much strife within our cast for me to care anymore it just became tiresome. Ofcourse we have a clifhanger as we should. But i hope we will get more story and less strife in the next for otherwise im not sure i will make it till the 5th book.🤔

This book is simultaniously awsome and awfull. Our heroïne Elizabeth Zod is uncompromising in a time and world where women are undervalued and pushed around. Not worth more then how they look and what they can do for men.
This is a story told in a no nonsens straight forward way. It deals with misogyny, religious sellots, rasism and social construcs like marriage. It will make you think about all these things see how far we have come and how far we still have to go.
In the end this is a story about found family, doing what is right andd taking live as it comes.

O my god. I loved this book!
This book is wonderful for the depiction of the old Hollywood era. It is awesome how lovely, awful, determent and empowered Evolyn is and also how many secrets she needed to hide.
She is bold, outspoken and manipulative and owns it!
The story of the women and her husbands is surprisingly not a story of a women that fell in love at great frequency. It is a women that has found great challenges in finding but even more in holding on to the great love of her life.
She has made mistakes and has tried to set these right, has been philanthropic to support causes she cares about and she has few regrets and is always in control of her own life and she is unapologetically ............Evelyn Hugo.
I would recommend this book to anyone for it is wonderful on so many levels.

Continuing the murderbot adventure we vind our bot acting human. Interact with a pet bot and saving more humans from more bic multinational murder plots. The sarcasm in this one is super extra and i enjoyed it extra for that reason.

The story of our murderbot continues. The weard thing is, he acts and seems more human how longer we follow him. He makes friends, changes his look to be less conspicuos aka fit in😜 and gets a job. Turns out to be flawed just like humans and change. I enjoy following his adventure and am curious to see where they go.

This is a wonderfull generational story. Likeminded women go through there own seperate life changing challenges.
They struggle to meet the challages but actualy manage to find out who they are and want to be. Have the courage to stand up for themselfs and others.
And they do it while both uncovering secrets and mistory.
This wad absolutely a realy engaging read.

Ooohh, yes i did hope an epic fantasy is the answer to this war. I still hope it is.
I also loved the restaurant wars. It is a small scale war and the inventive sollutions and lessons learned are awsome and sooo part of this intire epic fantasy. Ofcourse we are rooting for the underdog.
I want to start reading the last one right away but at the same time im afraid to start and know how this story ends.

This book was nothing like i expected and at the same time it was.
I thought this book wood be a cosy fantasy read and in a way it is but about the rainfall market what i first thought would be a wonderous beautifull place was acctualy kind creepy and scary. Some caracters were friendly but a lot were rude or distant and desinterested. Wich i could not understand for this marked is there for this rainfall season right?
The ending did warm my heart and the core message of the story was very nice. We did have to go on an adventurous jerney to get there though.
