A good retelling of the Norse myths, and ordered nicely. But Gaiman could have opted for a bit more reimagining.

Great written speeches from ancient times, constructed and envisioned in ways that you certainly can recognize that later leaders strive for.
The narration is sublime, but there could be more speeches from ancient times to listen to in this great way.

Interesting at times, but the details are in the way of a clear, big picture.

Personal, down scaled view on a society in collapse. Interesting, infuriating, insightful. It raises questions in yourself, at the same time as you get vivid portraits of female characters, drawn like human beings.

Cultural hereditary and perverted honor make up the confinement for oppression wherein people, bad, ignorant and lost, navigate.

Deep, frantic, emotional, stylish, introspective short stories. Batman and Catwoman masterly pictured in an old fashioned setting.

This is a genuine example of how superhero stories are modern mythological incarnations, in this case of chaos and order.
Great arc that spans several planes and weaves humans, outcasts and primordial forces together.

The love for myths is evident; maybe at bit too obvious at times. The protagonist’s view- and standpoint is what creates the suspense.
