There are great aspects of life that calls for your attention in this feminist fantasy novel. A mesh of low and high fantasy creates an interesting plot. A whole lot of characters makes it hard to keep track, especially in audio book form.

A slowly told tale, beautifully written with characters that goes the way they please; not necessarily the way the reader wants.

Frantic and over-the-top action. Nicely done, but there’s not much time for the characters to develop.
A really nasty group of supervillains makes a mark, but you won’t get any explanation as to why they do what they do.

Great to get the original setting and cast of characters . At times a bit too lighthearted.

An intelligent, layered story where evil is disguised as myth and fantasy. Truly, this is a commentary that can be applied in any human society, sadly.

Thought provoking to a degree and the reader have to be alert. But there are a bit of weirdness just for the sake of it and especially a use of words that wants to be “difficult”, just for the sake of it as well.

Good collection of Donald Duck’s first year of comic strips. Much of the humor is intact and the roots of Duckburg and several of the characters we know are introduced.

Crisp artwork but the plot way too thin. Good concept though.

A good retelling of the Norse myths, and ordered nicely. But Gaiman could have opted for a bit more reimagining.
