idk, this just didn't do it for me. I found myself skimming the first half of each issue but never really cared too much when we got into them each time

I am not a werewolf girlie to say the least, but I cannot deny this is absolutely phenomenal. it's funny, there's real supernatural shit going on instead of that metaphorical bullshit, and there's great development.

I will say, a clear theme is comparing a pregnancy and the changing body that accompanies to lycanthropy and the changing body that accompanies that. so if that will not do it for you, then I would steer clear

I mean if you gave this some more development, this would be a baller adaptation

pretty good and enjoyable but a bit repetitive

Dissolving Classroom - 4/5
good creepy body horror

Dissolving Beauty - 4/5
imagine becoming so hideous that people call you a monster and you're just like "I just don't see the problem"

Dissolving Apartment - 5/5
talk about some neighbors from hell amiright

Chizumi in Love - 4/5
I liked that this one was a bit different from the others

Interview with the Devil - 5/5
we're getting widespread now, huh?

The Return - 3/5
irrelevant and tbh idc

Children of the Earth - 3/5
also irrelevant but also too short for me to care

tbh I almost dnf'd this in the first half due to being super bored and hating every character and not really rooting for anyone. BUT THEN the slashing began and by golly this is everything I want in a slasher

so I do think I kind of sabotaged my reading of this book. I was pretty distracted as I started this a couple days before I was taking an important test, so my mind was mostly on that.

when it comes to the haunted aspect of this book, the pacing was great. I could see this so perfectly as if it were a movie, but unfortunately I kept wishing I was just watching this imaginary movie. but the atmosphere was creepy, things actually happened as opposed to some haunted house stories.

though one real downfall was the fact that this book was dual pov. I could not care less about Andres's perspective. every time we got to one of his chapters I found myself putting the book down. ESPECIALLY these awful past timeline chapters from him. I felt like those added literally nothing and eventually I just skimmed my way through.

I also really did not care for the romance. it was unnecessary and added nothing to the story.

*2 stars, obligatory star reduction for male author trying to trick readers with a gender ambiguous pen name and writing female protagonists*

was this thrilling? not particularly. it was dumb main character doing dumb things with suspicious people. I was interested enough to see what happened in the end, but tbh I thought the end was dumb as hell.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 43%.
yeah no. maybe if the cult was actually interesting I would have kept going but once she actually joined Bunny I couldn't possibly care less

I should have dnf'd this if I'm being honest. it took me three days to read this and I churn out 300 page romances within an afternoon.

i LOVE competition stories but I just did not care for this one. the actual competition maybe took up 45 pages total, so definitely don't read it for that aspect. but even when we were actually within one of the challenges I found myself skimming.

I think the main thing that kept me going was playing y/n with Emmy because I have a big fat crush on Talia. aka please date me Talia.

the third act conflict was so dumb because how were they both wrong? it was just based on both of them being too stubborn and just plain wrong, and while obviously that got resolved and they realized that in the end, it just made for an even worse reading experience and it already took everything in my power not to dnf with 90 pages left
