I honestly could just not get into it. It’s not bad but I never feel like reading it, even after taking a break and coming back to it again at a different time. Giving up !!

Det händer inget spännande eller fängslande en enda gång i hela boken. Sättet den är skriven på (dagboksanteckningar) gjorde så att det kändes som att man aldrig kom ner på djupet med någonting. Jag har läst ut den nu och tänker bara: jaha?

The narrator is unreliable, the events uncomfortable. It was certainly an… interesting read. However, nothing much happens and it doesn’t really lead anywhere. I kinda wish she would’ve killed the rich nepotism boy in the hotel instead of him running off. Let something HAPPEN!!!

I saw it coming based on the genre this is marketed as but it was like I couldn’t look away from the car crash. I recommend going in blind, if you can.

I did love some parts of this sequel as much as the first book, but I fear it had lost some of its cozy vibes. The adventures felt a lot bigger than what I personally wanted for this book series.
I still like the way it’s written, the footnotes are a really nice touch to show Emily’s character and I grew to like both her and Wendell a lot more in this.
Sometimes this did drag on a bit though. I didn’t really love the landscape in this, maybe I was just a bit too confused to fully grasp it and appreciate it. Maybe I just wanted something simpler. Idk! Either way, I will definitely tune in to this series again when the third book comes out. I am far too invested in the characters now to be able to back off.

A lovely winter read!!!
It was really nicely written and the atmosphere in the book made it perfect for this season. It was a bit slow a lot of the time but in a way I really enjoyed. That’s part of why it felt so cozy to me. I was almost disappointed when it got a bit more intense towards the end because it felt more like a “regular” faerie book instead of a chill cozy book hahaha
The characters were soo lovable, both main and side characters!
I’m definitely going to continue with the next book. ✨✨

This could’ve easily been a 5 star for me with some tweaks. The pacing was a bit off at times and it should’ve been a bit longer so that it would’ve had time to expand on some parts but I loved the overall premise of the book.
The magic system was really cool and I liked how everything was a bit fluid on a very wide scale, some people had very limited magic skills whereas others could barely begin to grasp the scope of their capabilities. A very interesting take on magic!!
The main characters really intrigued me from the start. Introducing them with their own POV chapters about essentially the same event (Atlas making them an offer) was really good and already showed off their personalities and magical abilities in a nice way. All six of them were very different and I really enjoyed that. Although I didn’t exactly like all of them, they were good characters. Some of them should have been given more space though (Reina!!!!) as I felt like I just didn’t get to know them as well as I would’ve liked to.
I’m not sure how I feel about the ending but I will definitely continue the series. I’m too intrigued not to.

Frankly (lol) I just thought this was boring. I wasn’t really interested until maybe two thirds in and even then I never longed to pick the book back up and continue reading. It wasn’t bad it was just. Meh. The characters were so unlikeable (except Santiago, he’s the goat)
