This could’ve easily been a 5 star for me with some tweaks. The pacing was a bit off at times and it should’ve been a bit longer so that it would’ve had time to expand on some parts but I loved the overall premise of the book.

The magic system was really cool and I liked how everything was a bit fluid on a very wide scale, some people had very limited magic skills whereas others could barely begin to grasp the scope of their capabilities. A very interesting take on magic!!

The main characters really intrigued me from the start. Introducing them with their own POV chapters about essentially the same event (Atlas making them an offer) was really good and already showed off their personalities and magical abilities in a nice way. All six of them were very different and I really enjoyed that. Although I didn’t exactly like all of them, they were good characters. Some of them should have been given more space though (Reina!!!!) as I felt like I just didn’t get to know them as well as I would’ve liked to.

I’m not sure how I feel about the ending but I will definitely continue the series. I’m too intrigued not to.
