girls who r older siblings tht have trauma related to parental death that forces them to grow up too fast in order to take care of their younger siblings and as a result grow to be a little overbearing and r seen as too much except by the people that care abt them pls know that i love you 🫶
a very informative story of different lgbtq+ people across europe and the usa and what being queer means to/for them intermingled with the authors own story of growth as a lesbian. i enjoyed it — felt like a very long article or essay + loved the chapters in nyc and istanbul
very good very gay loved this a lot more than i thought i would !! enjoyed how the fragments were broken up and how the brackets added more – almost filling in my own story and interpreting my own poem from the bits and pieces presented to me. also appreciated the notes and the who's who at the end of the book, was very helpful + insightful when reading <3
love a second chance romance and when stories are told out of order <3 the article excerpts were a nice touch and oli was very fun!! at times made me wonder if this started as a fanfiction lmao but nothing that made me cringe too bad or took away from my overall enjoyment still cannot believe they were telling each other they loved each other after 6 days of talking with each other. spread over 10 years😭
ummmm i did not read the trigger warnings before starting this book and i should have👍 might revisit later bcos i did enjoy the writing here more than convenience store woman but the content😐😭 hard to stomach😵💫
"at the end of the day whether one returns to the past of travels to the future, their present does not change. so it raises the question – just what is the point of that chair? but kazu still goes on believing that no matter what difficulties people face, they will always have the strength to overcome them. it just takes heart. and if the chair can change someone’s heart, it clearly has it’s purpose" 😭😭😭😭
ok think this will be the last rebels novelization i'll read bcos i'm pretty sure the rest of them follow this 2-3 episode per book format which i am not a fan of😭 still liked it i guess?? but it's very much a retelling of the episode for kids which is fine lol this is a kids book but i am here for extra internal monologues that are not present😔
was a lot better than the novelizations for the rebels shorts very much to do with the fact that this was a full 20 chapter novelization as opposed to only 3-4 chapters, had rly nice insight on all of the characters that u do not explicitly get in the show + i love the spectres <3
