Jenna's Journey by Julie Ryan

Beautifully written, I was confused by the end. It made me try to analyze Part 2 of the storyline. We begin with a present day glimpse into the first day of Jenna's daughter's journey in Greece and then dive right into Jenna's during the 80s. Each chapter is dated, so you're not lost and it doesn't go back and forth between past and present.
The build up for suspense and mystery seemed slow paced for me, but Ryan's writing brings depth to Greece and to Jenna herself. I felt myself there with her and felt the emotions she was going through. I cried like a baby during the first part of Part 2 and was surprised within the second half of Part 2. Jenna's character was solid in the story, but there were characters being brought in left and right with not enough back story or with just a drop of a subject change. However, they were relevant and brought closure for me as far as the mystery was concerned.
Jenna's trip to Greece starts off as a getaway after a big fight with her husband Greg. She finally finds herself and realizes that they don't have the same goals for their marriage. Jenna meets Nick and is swept off her feet while Tom (a fellow holiday goer with her tour company) befriends her and is falling for her. Cluelessly getting caught up in illegal trading and with mysterious things happening to and around her are Nick and Tom the culprit? As clueless as she is? Or do they genuinely have feelings for her?
The mystery that involves Jenna still has me confused to a degree. Almost as if it happened when she was unconscious. I thought I had closure, but the epilogue is making me wonder. Which I really like, even if I'm left confused.
I would recommend this if you like well built main characters and a bit of slight confusion but closure for your mystery adventures. There were moments that made me laugh, gasp and cry, which I love in books I'm reading. I'll actually re-read this again, maybe around March to see if I missed anything first go around.

Overall, great story. I read it sometime in the beginning of the year. I can't recall, but the story was beautifully written.
It follows Jane and her story of falling in love. What I do remember is this story had me glued and I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next.
There were a bit of typos and possible grammar mistakes in it, but I was surprisingly able to trudge through that to finish the book. I did cry throughout the book, so if you're a crier then be ready.
I'd recommend this if you want to read about romance, first love and how Jane overcomes her obstacles as she's learning to be comfortable with herself and understand what love is.
