I’ll be the first to tell you that I love a grump. I also love a Monster, because those non-human guys are romantic as hell. So when I saw ARC applications for this book, I sprinted to apply. It did not disappoint.
The premise of a reality TV fake marriage between a romance-novel-loving junior assistant and her surly Minotaur boss was funny and adorable. Ronan and Justine don’t quite know how to act around each other at first, but once they get going…they don’t stop. Ronan is bossy in every aspect of his life - particularly in the bedroom - and the spice was spicing, but they were also super cute together.
If you are monster curious, this is a fun little romcom to start with. I definitely can’t wait to read some more of Ami’s Monster Romances!

Your local angst dealer is back for one more Lost God review 😎
We left our Found Family in quite a pickle at the end of The Storm King, and they have a lot of work ahead in order to un-pickle themselves.
Brain Scramblies have returned, and it is maddening and heartbreaking to watch Rainer try to remember who he is. Cece and Xander try to play Rafiki to his Simba, but their deal with Cato puts up a lot of roadblocks. On top of that, they have to try to save the two kingdoms - YET AGAIN - this time from a psychopathic, usurping piece of trash. Have I mentioned how much I ✨hate✨ Vincent Savero? Like, maybe even more than I hated Cato.
This book is such a beautiful, terrifying, heartbreaking, hopeful, and funny end to The Lost God series. I cannot recommend this series enough, but please be sure to hydrate and keep the tissues handy 🥲
