“𝑩𝒆 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒆, 𝒃𝒆 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒅, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒆 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒉. 𝑰 𝒘𝒊𝒍𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒏𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝒘𝒂𝒚.”

I love a good marriage of convenience, and already knew I loved the world of the Ever Seas, so I was beyond thrilled to get my grubby little hands on The Mist Thief. And I’m going to be honest…Jonas Eriksson is giving my beloved Erik Bloodsinger a run for his money after this book 🫠

Watching Jonas help Skadi break out of her misty shell and learn to embrace the monster within was achingly sweet. I loved seeing her being welcomed into House Eriksson with open arms after being feared by her own people for so long. Their unlikely pairing ends up being a blessing to both of them that neither saw coming.

Jonas and Skadi are equal parts sweet, funny, and ✨hot✨ together, and I enjoyed seeing more of the characters from the Ever Seas. I loved this book. The world L.J. Andrews has built is rich and exciting, and I never know what to expect next, but I always know it will be fun!

“𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠, 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙨, 𝙄’𝙢 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 ‘𝙜𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙜𝙞𝙧𝙡’ 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙄 𝙖𝙢. 𝙄’𝙫𝙚 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨. 𝙄’𝙫𝙚…𝙝𝙪𝙧𝙩 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.”

I will be the first to admit that, after hours of ingesting various true crime medias, I consider myself an amateur detective. This book proved that I am not nearly as intuitive as I thought 😆

This book was a delightful combination of suspenseful, sweet, and funny. As much as I loved the whole cast of characters, the “who dunnit” aspect made it hard for me to trust ANYone. I swear I had no idea what was going to happen from one moment to the next, and i suspected everyone until the last minute. It was a wild ride with twists and turns, poignant moments, and raw emotion. I definitely can’t wait to see what happens next for Mercy Cove!

“…𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒐, 𝑰 𝒇𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒘. 𝑰𝒕’𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆.”

You know what I love? A reformed playboy that gets completely knocked on his ass by a a woman that is utterly unimpressed with him. And this book presented that on a silver platter 🙌🏼

Tee is an expert at weaving together well known fairytales and making them her own, and 𝘛𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘦𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘴𝘵 is no exception. I loved being reunited with characters from 𝘚𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘰𝘧 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘴 (specifically Driscoll) and seeing Lochlan stumble through learning who he is without the burden of everyone’s perception of the playboy prince. Poppy was equal parts timid and headstrong, and it was fun watching her push through to figure out who she could be away from her Gran’s shadow.

The threat from the Shadow Court is still imminent, and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series and which stories Tee has to tell for the rest of Arathia!

“𝙄’𝙢 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙢𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙙𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙧.”

Like many of you, I have been frothing at the mouth for the next installation of the Ruinous Love trilogy ever since I inhaled Butcher & Blackbird a few months ago. I just had to know what was lurking behind the broody, tattooed exterior of Lachlan Kane!

Lachlan isn’t quite what I expected. Yeah, he’s surly and dangerous and protective…but he’s also the cinnamony-est cinnamon roll to ever cinnamon roll ♥️ He and Lark are hilarious together as they circle one another, trying to find their footing in their whirlwind marriage of convenience.

Lark is every bit as chaotic as I expected. Her little arts and crafts projects lowkey stressed me out but hey, whatever makes her happy right? I also absolutely ADORED her Auntie Ethel. She is hilarious and so sassy and regularly cracked me up with her meddling.

I had such a good time with this book and can’t wait to see what happens for Fionn and Rose!
