It was an okay read for in between which had me entertained. However, and I guess it is my own fault, I was not entirely in the mood for this book. But I also did not want to just put the book aside.

thunder and daisy is a poem collection which covers quite well the mixture of heartbreak and healing and letting go.
Personally, I found a few pieces which spoke to me, however most of it, it was not entirely my cup of tea. Over all, it is an alright collection.

If being haunted means to unravel century old secrets and find yourself deeper involved in the archives of a library, it would be a bit of an adventure, don’t you think?
Honestly, I think the Library of Shadows is a wonderful book which is spooky-ish, hopeful and yet also a bit romantic enough to keep you turning page after page. I seriously enjoyed the story of Este, Mateo and all the others you meet here. It was beautiful.

The book is very well written and you find yourself reading the story rather quickly as the pacing just keeps going and going.
I seriously live that we have an animal companion, a corgi!
Anyway, it was a good read.

The way it continues so wholesome just got my heart beating a bit faster, wanting to reread and place the scenes into a memory which does not fade.
It is a wonderful continuation.

This is a beautiful beginning of something where Alexander and Emma get to know each other, befriend each other and… who knows what really develops between the two as the story progresses with the coming volumes?
The art is stunning and the chapters are well-paced. I enjoyed every second of it.

Second books are a fickle thing. Gillig wrote this in her acknowledgments and I understand it, very well.
The finish of this series has its own nature, a little different from the first book as you don’t follow the story mainly out of Elspeth’s view. I guess, this is what made a bit more difficult to like than the first book. Nonetheless it deserves its 4 stars. The story, in mg opinion, ended on a great note. Giving this its rounded finish, balance.

And I shed a tear at the end of chapter fifty. If you get to it, you know why.
Because all comes to an end.

I had some time to think of this and the book - in my opinion - is good.
I really liked it because it was an easy read, the world intrigued me and the way magic works is even better. The conspiracies, the characters and everything are just wonderful.

Is the queer rep incredible? Heck yes! Do I love me a haunted house? Oh hell yeah. And is the friendship shown here impeccable, the characters diverse and wonderful in their depiction? Yes, very much.
I highly enjoyed reading this ARC.

4.5 for now as I am still in the process of understanding my feelings for this book as it was great, amazing even. That I seriously enjoyed this retelling and that it ends on a perfect note.
