This book is a reread, and it's still a favorite. Brandon Sanderson has such a unique, beautiful way of telling a story. The details twist together so well. The ending is so satisfying. Characters feel like real people you could meet. Everything has a purpose. Definitely worth the read

This book was alright. It was a bit cookie-cutter; typical 2010's book and not the best I've ever read. Some of the characters were cute, though none were particularly well fleshed out. The plot definitely felt more told than seen.
Also, it really needed more editing. The first 20 or so pages switched between present and past tense almost every paragraph which made getting started difficult.
It was cute, and maybe if I'd read it at a younger age I would have really liked it, but with the other similar books I've read and can compare to, there are definitely others I'd rather reread.

I truly loved this book. It was super cute and very unique. I find it hard to define this book or describe it in a way that does it justice. It was odd but cute, unique but felt classic, twisted and sinister yet somehow still a comforting read. I love the premise and setting. I adored the twisted changes to wonderland and all the little punk details. I really liked Alyssa as a main character. Both Jeb and Morpheus felt a little forced to me, but I still enjoyed their characters. I can definitely see myself reading this book again.

I love this book. This is my second time reading it. The story is engaging and well told. I love the cast of characters though outside of our leads they are a bit two dimensional. There isn't much character growth in this book but there is so much potential for book 2 and the set up on the plot is captivating. I enjoyed the pacing and the writing style. The imagery is beautiful. Diving right into book 2.

Personally I didn't enjoy this book. The premise was promising but the execution fell flat. The whole first half felt very much like ACOTAR fanfiction.

And the ending was not satisfying for me. I guessed a lot of what was going to happen by chapter 10 and almost everything else by chapter 19.

This felt like the miscommunication trope to the extreme which has never been a favorite. There were so many places where honesty could have made a better story.
