I absolutely loved this! It was slow to start for me and honestly Wyn was such a tool and Rodger was such a sweetheart that I wasn’t sure how that would resolve. I’m genuinely impressed by the character growth from Wyn and the way the two of them and their magic came together was like a warm cup of tea on a rainy day. Slow and comforting…

I’m honestly kinda shocked at my final rating of this cause lemme tell you, I was ready to DNF at chapter 5… I was bored. I sneaky peeked at the rest of the book and decided to power through… i was fully invested again by the end if chapter 7 and wholly enthralled. I ended up loving this. Honestly, this is in my top 5 of the year so far… (I know it’s only February 3rd but this is book 40 so it still counts)

Absolutely loved this. I can’t explain why, because the plots weren’t even solar, but this reminded me quite a bit in feeling of The Girl With Glass Feet. I absolutely loved Corbin and Alex

The characterization was really good, I really liked both Ethan and Kinsley, and really wanted to follow their story, but the writing was so weird… It was weird that she never named their town their college, the airline the airports, it was all just very generic… And then the way they spoke to each other was incredibly awkward at times. Like, things that people don’t really say to each other, far more formal. And then the first hundred pages all being just the dumbest miscommunication, made this one a miss for me
