I had a lot of hopes for this one because the first book was pretty strong. I was excited to get to the Olympics and see them finally compete and live out their dreams and all of their work paying off. But I feel like other than going to Paris the actual Olympics didn't really play a huge role. There was also some crazy ex-drama and it was good, I just wish it had more. I feel like the overall book was just so centered around the pack and I just wanted more outside of it.

I really liked this omegaverse. It was different and dystopian and had a lot of action/suspense going on. It is on the darker side, and it does end with a cliffhanger. It definitely stands in a category by itself, and I can't wait to read the next book. I just wish I knew going into it was a trilogy with an ongoing story because I tried to find out and nowhere really mentions it, but the next book does mention that the HEA won't be until book 3.

I wish we got to focus a little bit more on the publishing world since the packs are heavily involved in that world. I was obsessed with Pack Quill and Teddy being the CEO of Ink & Quill. It was just a very interesting dynamic, and I wish that we had more time within that side of things or even see the two publishing companies compete a little bit more. But it's still really good. It is a solid standalone, but it does lean heavily into the emotional side of things. Fallon goes through so much. I love how these omegas came together. It was just so good!

It was a solid book, but it is on the sweeter side of things. Overall, I don't really lean towards the sweeter side of things but every now and again it's fun to swap things up. I do like this series and how it's set up. I just wish we had a little bit more time/drama in the long run.

I was desperate for this one to come out because I was seeing so many videos hyping it up and it sounded so good and like it was going to have a ton of drama and be a lot of fun. But overall, I feel like all of the drama was spoiled by the videos since there wasn't much more drama going on other than those scenes. It wasn't terrible. I still liked it, but I don't think it is going to end up being the most memorable down the road especially since I read so many books this year and all of October were omegaverses.

I loved the first book and could not wait to jump into here and get the HEA and some answers. But honestly this one just kind of felt completely different from the first book. We don't really build onto the world that much, which was something I was desperate for. The suspenseful side, while it was really interesting, just didn't come up that much overall. Then as for the pack although we do end with an HEA, I wish we had more groveling and work to get to that point. I just wanted more overall in here.

It was so addicting! I really could not put this one down, I loved seeing everything unfold because we as the reader got to see both sides and see why the guys were doing what they were doing but the FMC never really learned the truth. But I really need more world-building or just an explanation on the omegaverse since it is a really interesting setup and very unique compared to the others I've read. I just wanted more from it overall.

The characters in this one and the overall story were chaotic. There are parts that I enjoyed more, and I wish we had focused on them more. It is heartbreaking, and I wanted more for all of these characters. It took some weird turns, and this one wasn't for me. I want to give this author another try because I liked many elements in the writing, and I liked Hostile Illusions.

I feel like it was a solid read, but overall, just not for me. I wanted it to lean more into the action/suspense side of things. That side was just pulling me in more and I needed more attention on it, but instead, it leaned more into the romance/pack life. It wasn't terrible just not for me or at least for me at that moment. I'm glad I read it though.
