I loved where we started! It started off really strong and it was so hard to put down. But I only liked where we ended. I guess it really comes to me wishing it was a bit darker. There was just a lot of potential and I wanted it to be darker since it kind of just kept alluding to it and then just wrapped up really fast or was predictable. Especially when it came to Gary. He could've thrown in a lot more issues and I wanted to see that happen, but it wasn't terrible. But honestly, I feel like all of Huxley's books are on the sweeter side of things.

Overall, I'm glad that I finished this trilogy. But I think it started off really strong and slowly went down for me. I just wanted a little bit more in the end.

It's okay, I definitely liked the previous one more than this one. Plus I'm just ready to start wrapping things up and getting some answers.

I tried to read this one last summer but just could not get into it. I think it was a combination of my mood just not wanting to read because I just found out I was pregnant, and my mind was just not on reading. So, I ended up just returning the KU book. But I finally circled back to it and I loved how this was written! It's an emotionally heavy book. We're following Avery's healing very closely. She's a domestic abuse survivor and when the book starts, she and her daughter just start escaping her husband and we see her struggling to get back on track. I mean they are living in their car she has less than $50 and is struggling hard to get anything to go her way but she's determined to give her daughter a better life. I love how she meets the MMCs, and I love that we don't just flip a switch and suddenly she's in this harem. We see her struggle to heal even after finding the guys and they are determined to help her heal and be there for her while also dealing with their own traumas. It is on the slower side, but I was obsessed. It worked for this story. Plus, I love how Rivers handled the husband. She gave him as little page time as possible but still wrapped up his part of the story.

I really liked this one overall, but it did leave me wanting more here and there. Especially when it comes to the missing supernatural people in Haven, who keep coming up. Why keep mentioning it if we can't figure out what is going on? Plus, it kind of felt like the steam was taking over a little too much, especially in the last half of the book. We had so much to focus on, especially with Aline's past! I mean we knew at some point it would have to come back up and have to be dealt with and it does eventually happen. I just wish we had it prolonged or had a bigger focus because I loved seeing Aline deal with it but at the same time, it just felt rushed since it was at the end of the book. But overall, I really loved Aline's story.

Overall, I really liked this one but at times it did get pretty confusing. It is an addictive story and an interesting take on the shifter world. I'm curious where we are going from here. I really liked Aspen but I'm ready to start getting somewhere.

I LOVED this one! It was hard to put down. There's just something about colleges for villains that is just so addictive. Plus, I love how the found family works here. The FMC back story is heartbreaking, and we get a huge look at it at the beginning of the book when she not only learns her father's still alive but is taken to him. There instead of seeing the big bad guy the world knows him as she gets to see the fatherly side plus meet her million brothers! It was so good! I can't wait to see more in this series. I do wish that we had a little bit more tension between the main characters since they kind of came together a little too easily. Plus, the suspense side of things kind of felt like it was thrown out there too obviously and I wish we had more surprises when it came to the big reveals. But I still love this one and want to read the rest of this series when it comes out. I think they are going to follow different brothers in this family, and I hope one ends up with the MMC's second because it was kind of alluding to something.

I loved this one! Now it is kind of on the longer side, plus it doesn't help that we're only in the FMC point of view and the book is kind of on the slow side. Usually, that combo doesn't work for me, and I end up DNF'ing the book but for some reason, this one just clicked for me, and I couldn't put it down. It does deal with some pretty heavy themes, especially in the last half of the book. The first part is more of a small town/fake dating meets grump x sunshine because the MMC is such a grump, and they definitely get off on the wrong foot. Then the second half is more damsel in distress/second chance. I really need to read more in this series and by this author!

I haven't read any Nora Roberts books this year and finally got around to picking up one of the romantic suspense ones and this one was so good. It was really good. It had a lot of similar vibes to the old books that I love, which makes sense since this is one of her older releases. I do wish that we had a little bit more suspense. It kind of felt like the beginning had a ton of stuff going on and then we had a ton at the end, but the middle was just filler. We get told a lot about the FMC's life versus actually seeing it. We do actually follow a lot of her life so I get that we can't see it all but some of the things at the end would've come out a lot stronger if we got to see these events actually happen instead of being told about it after the fact. However, it's still a good Roberts's book and I really need to get back into working on her backlist.

I kind of had high hopes for this one because I love the movie. I read this one while dying waiting for movie 2 to come out. I just needed something to fill the void while waiting for the next movie. It is really different from the movie. It kind of felt like the movie was just the bones that the movie used. It's not terrible but I miss the suspense and the racing and don't get me wrong the racing is a small part of the movie too, but I just overall preferred the movie to the book. The book is almost scene to scene the movie just some big differences, such as the family lives in California. I also wished the tension lasted longer. But anyway, I didn't hate the book, I just preferred the movie.
