I really enjoyed Keep Your Friends Close And Your… Work Enemy Closer? I didn’t feel like much happened in the book, though. It felt long for the plot. Max and Annalise were great, and I loved their work relationship. Annalise was a bit too hypocritical for me. And I didn’t think she was a very fleshed out character. We had so much more background to her sister, Aria, in the first book. I’m looking forward to reading Astrid’s book next!

I have to say, Brutal Reign took me a little while to get into. I hated, and I mean HATED, Seb and Ace for the first half of the book. Especially Seb. He was so aggressive and cocky and handsy. I couldn’t see how it was going to play out with River also being an Alpha, when Seb was constantly manhandling her and demanding she do this or that. I felt like it really undermined her position. Once River accepted the mate bond, they grew on me, but I still wouldn’t say I loved them by the end of the book. I also don’t think River made them grovel near enough. I did love River. She was a total boss and I loved her relationship ship with her cousins. The spice was definitely spicing in this book, and I loved it. Finally, for as long as the book was, I didn’t feel like there was much conflict. There were a lot of smaller conflicts, like the challenge, River’s wolf, and Theo, but nothing overly climactic happens. Overall, I still enjoyed the book, and I’m looking forward to reading more books from this world and author.

I loved Your Rule To Break. Zack and Emilie were very believable together. Zack was so fun and Emilie was a good balance for him. I liked that they both went through some stuff and made it out stronger on the other side. They were also pretty funny, both together and separately. There was a bit of fourth-wall-breaking, which isn’t my favorite, but it was usually humorous, so I didn’t mind as much as I normally do.

I really loved the mental health rep in this book. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I think the author did a great job describing the feeling and working through it all. Thank you for that.

Flown In For Christmas was like a spicy Hallmark movie. I loved the Davis family, and Joy and Nick were a great couple. The story moved quickly, but I never felt that I was missing anything, which I think is hard to accomplish with a novella, so nice job!

I’m not quite sure how I feel about The Witch’s Rite. I love the coziness of the book. And I was surprisingly I treated in the dynamic of introducing another person into a relationship, but I didn’t feel like Rowan really fit with Aurora and Alden. I felt bad for Alden. I also thought Aurora seemed a bit manipulative, using her body to ease the way for the poly relationship to happen. I am interested in continuing this series to see how it plays out.

Love, Lies & Butterflies was my favorite of this series. I loved Cade and Cassia, and I likes that this book felt just slightly longer. Great little series! Well done!

Short and sweet and a tad spicy at the end! Gemma and Caleb were great together. I love these little short stories, but I would love if the author made them full-length as well! I think there’s a good story to be told here.

I love Elderberry Falls and this book was no exception! The steamy scenes were SMOKING hot and I loved that both MCs had their own personal stuff to sort through. Well done!

I absolutely loved Vacationing with the Vampire in Hallow’s Cove! I’m so excited to kick off this series. I wasn’t sure when I started this book if I would like it. I thought Maisie’s work issue was abrupt and she would be too emotional, but I ended up falling in love! Also, holy hotness 🥵 It was smutty and I loved every second of it. Barnaby was such a great MMC. Shifting forms during sex was 🫠🤤🤌
