This book encourages the reader to approach Dissociative Identity Disorder from a place of such empathy that I am left in awe.
Ward has demonstrated a mastery of the craft here - somehow managing to take the reader by the hand, lead them into the depths of real horror, and gently lead them out again. The light in a tunnel is only at the end, but Ward will get you there safely, if not altogether the same.

The book is well written enough, but it’s the equivalent of a chapter - and a short one at that. I wonder why del Toro and Hogan decided to go with this format. Expecting a short story, I felt jarred when the book ended.

A delightfully dark read. The message is not subtle but it is charmingly insane.
