20% in and nothing has been revealed, nor has the ante been built. I feel like I’m watching someone register for college courses. Unfortunately, I’d rather google what the experiment ends up being and move on to the next.

An interesting premise for sure, but some of the book felt like “filler” - put there to lengthen the book rather than further the story.

Groff’s work is always a pleasure to read, and a couple of the stories resonated deeply with me. However, as a whole, this collection seems like a series of self-insert musings. Not bad, per se, but perhaps better suited to a memoir.
