Piece of brilliance, my favorite book from the trilogy. It was so dramatic. Epilogue was just so ingenious, the words used were perfect. Loved how everything turned out. But to be honest, this can be little dull for male readers at some parts. Well I forced myself at some parts to continue reading the trilogy but overall I loved it. The concept, the thoughts, dreams and description of everything that happens is just so great. Amazing Author, waiting for more work from her. CHEERS > MUST READ !

Muuyyyyyyyy Bieeeeeeeeenn ! Oh god ! This book ! This book was a gift from god to me, I didn't even plan to buy it. It just sort of came to me. Alas ! The adventure it took me on is now over ! It took to 2 weeks to read this but it was worth it !
Time consuming ? yes. Hard/old vocabulary ? Yes. Too much history in it ? Yes.
In some reviews these are marked as negatives of the book ! Are you serious ? This is exactly what is suppose be in historical romantic classic fiction !
Georgette Heyer did an amazing job on this one ! Made me her fan, I can't wait to read all of her books ( which are plenty) ! It's hard to believe she wasn't actually in the war with all the characters, the accuracy & the brilliance of describing environment and everything that happens around is just great ! You can really be there and feel the enjoyment, hunger, heavy rains, floods and what not ! The characters ( even the trivial ones ) were brilliantly created !

Great little adventure !!
I always knew Star Trek was a huge franchise and now I can see why ! I gave it a try and really I just want to stay in the Star Trek realm ! This was the first book I read, certain ain't gonna be last one ! Maybe I should have started with the original series though. Easy language & short adventure, totally worth reading !

The words spoke the truth with such beauty> Absolutely loved it. So many characters, so much pain among them , so many stories. The Ugliness of education. What I learned from this is that education is like food , it is required to certain extent but excessive of it can 'ruin' ones life.
Oh, how much did Louisa suffer just because she respected her father and cared for her brother. Her brother, a fine example of man with no moral values. Moral values he lost because they weren't facts which he had to memorize. Life of an uneducated girl, like Sissy turned out happy in the end, at least it left that impression. Made me recollect me seeing 3-4 year old waking up at 3-4 am to go to school. Education is taking childhood from children, taking their innocence and turning it into something worse. Education should be encouraged but not forced both on Universal level as well as family level. People need to realize there is more to life than money, power and education. Charles Dickens expressed this with the best way possible !
I leave this review with the ending quote which tore my soul apart 3
" Dear reader! It rests with you and me, whether, in our two fields of action, similar things shall be or not. Let them be! We shall sit with lighter bosoms on the hearth, to see the ashes of our fires turn gray and cold"

Fairly disappointed, expected so much, but that could be just me. That doesn't have to be the case with everyone >>

Great Book ! Certainly Helpful ! But in the end, it is still us who have to do all the work but getting an insight of how willpower works will obviously help you ! Great work !
