This is not the first book I’ve read by this specific author, but the genre is completely different from her debut fantasy series, and let me just tell you- this did NOT disappoint! With trigger warnings to those who are religious and thus may become highly uncomfortable with the content within, greeting readers on the first few pages, I just knew this was going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride (no pun intended lol).

I WILL warn potential readers of this though: as a 28 year old adult who grew up in a very strict Christian home, leaving said beliefs, and having read this book in its entirety, I definitely agree that if you’re one who is religious, easily offended, disagrees with conspiracies/mythology/ or other cultures- YOU WILL MOST DEFINITELY WITHOUT A SINGLE DOUBT IN MY MIND, BE COMFORTABLE !!!

This book is NOT for the weak.
It is not for those new to dark romance either.
Trigger warnings include but are not limited to:
- Death
- Suicidal Ideation AND attempts
- Demons & angels
- Smut (a TON of it, too!)
- Non consent
- Exhibitionism
- Polygamy
- And much more!

Overall, I do believe this book was not only written well, but was also presented to readers with a refreshing creativity that made for a unique reading experience in a PNR (paranormal romance) book!
Let’s be honest, we “seasoned” dark romance and paranormal readers THINK we’ve read it all: the stalkers, the unalivers, the mafia bosses, the cults/clubs, the werewolves/aliens/vampires, etc.
But how many of us have thought about “Death”, aka the Grim Reaper?
This author did, and let me tell you:
Death won’t disappoint his “little deathtrap”, and this author won’t disappoint you.
Grab your holy oil, cuz this concept may be hard to take (just make sure it didn’t come from Diddy’s house)!
