Read if you like:
• YA novels packed with adventure
• Stories centered on the occult and supernatural
• Familial and generational bonds
• Iranian-American/Argentinian-American rep
• Twin sister relationships
• Fast-paced reads
This was such a fun, impactful and interesting story! Yet again, Olivia does a great job bringing you into the cultural nuances of Iranian and Argentinian heritage. I loved her use of the supernatural to tie back to ideas of oppression and reform experienced during the Iranian revolution without it being overwhelming for the reader.

Read if you like:
• Domestic thrillers
• Books where everyone is a suspect
• Stories where a location plays a main role
• Short chapters
• A satisfying but not shocking ending
I have enjoyed a few of this author’s other novels, so I was excited to read this one. The premise was great and I thought the overall build up was well done. Unfortunately, the ending was a bit of a let down and not very surprising. I’d still give this one a shot if you’ve liked this author’s other books.

• Spicy scenes
• Easter eggs from 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘎𝘢𝘮𝘦
Equal parts funny and spicy and so so good! I enjoyed the connection to the first book in this series. But you definitely don’t need to read it to enjoy this one. The sexual tension between the MCs was perfection!

Read if you like:
• Suspenseful mysteries
• Dual POVs
• Family drama
• Satisfying endings
I enjoyed this author’s other novel, A Good Marriage, so I was excited to read her latest. This one had a lot more mystery elements to it and kept me guessing. I enjoyed the satisfying ending and thought the story developed nicely. It isn’t a super shocking novel, but overall a solid mystery.
