The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah

This book.....
This book was slow to get into. I thought, oh just another family trip type of book because I never read the preview to see what it is about. I was wrong.
We meet the main character, Leni, with her mother and father. We see struggle and challenges in the first section. And then we see them move to Alaska. And then that's when the book gets interesting. The first part gives you a little bit of background unless you know kind of what life has been like.
But then you get to the second part and the second part is about their Alaska and life for them up there is anything but normal. And there are moments of happiness, and sadness, horror oh, and longing. And then towards the end of the second section there are sections that just make you catch your breath and stop what you're doing. And when you get to the last section of the book there is no way to describe the emotional rollercoaster that occurs when you're reading it.
You get to see Leni and her Mom struggle against the abuse of her father. You see her father go crazy and then become normal, and you see him turning against people you see Lenny's life changes when she meets a boy. You see their love grow and then all of a sudden you just see the devastation and turmoil. And then you see their love for reunited and it's pretty substantial. You see death, you see crime, you see people who have their friends backs in the most noble ways possible. You see the true "great alone".
I have read amazing books lately and I'm proud to add this to my top 3 list, possibly bumping my #2 out of the way. I cried in this book. I lived in this book. I felt the characters plight, struggle, terror, and finally happiness. This is not a good book. This is an extraordinary novel.

DNF.
I started reading this book, but I just couldn't finish it. It started out great. I was excited to read it. But part way through i was unable to focus on the characters; it was too much. I was getting confused. There was just so much going on. I was so excited to read it after the description but it fell short for me.

Good book. Good food. The pinnacles of life
I bought this last night after creeping on Instagram. I made the golden milk latte tonight and it's just amazing. I bought foods for a few other recipes that sounded good. Overall the recipes are simple but look really good. I don't have to go to a specialty store for anything. What I like the most is the ability to put the reader at ease, that the writer has.

Stunning
I own a citrine necklace from this author and after reading this book and finding this stone, I can see her energy reflected in everything she touches. If you want more holistic approaches, this is your book.

Such a fun book that shows pictures of book shelves. I read through this and then glance at the website. The author is definitely talented. There are so many bookshelves I agree with. How books change your life, stick with you, make you feel S O M E T H I N G, is phenomenal and this author captures that.

This book was exceptional. It will sit in my list of top 10 books. The beginning starts off a little slow but once you get over the 3 chapter jump you get into it. Part 4 is the BEST section of the book and it has everything you could want. How the book ended is perfect and I hope there's not a sequel to ruin it with thoughts of picking up ones life where it left off at. That might ruin it.

Interesting
So there where's some good points in this book that I guess I had forgotten about. I've been studying this personality type for 12 years now so I've been studying myself for this long and trying to figure out weaknesses and strengths Etc. I feel like it's a good book but I feel like there are more things that could have been added to the book 4 sake of the cost. I mean I still rated at five star is because it's a book based on the personality and it gives people who are new to the infj personality, good insight to what the personality is like.
