This book has the greatest difference to the movie. There’s so much more important background in it which really is missing in the movies. The audio book is extremely well narrated, very gripping.

Great book, very well and engagingly written for a non-fiction book. Every introvert should read this book, it holds so much information and all of it is referenced with studies and papers. The amount of research that went into that book is amazing. I found the background of how we got to think about extroversion today especially fascinating and it explains so much! The paperback has a great quality for a paperback.

It was not so much a coming of age story than a murder mystery and a story about friendship and love. The setting in the Oxford-like school and the friends‘ love for learning and for Shakespeare was so dark academia and I loved it. The setting is not just a backdrop, but part of the story and in that way it was like Harry Potter, but definitely for grown-ups. The writing was out of this world good and I‘m glad I got it as a hardcover, even though I know whodunnit now, I‘m definitely going to read it again, simply because reading the story itself in this setting is such a cozy treat and the perfect autumn book.

This is possibly the saddest of them all and when Harry both is at his lowest and rises as his strongest, like a Phoenix almost… yes I had to write that. They really start to grow up in that book and of course it‘s a 5 star read and the audio version with Stephen Fry is just as good as the previous ones. But yet again, the movies deviate so much from the book which has a lot more detail and especially the ending is much more relatable and logical in the book. The movie just flat out changed certain facts here that needn‘t have changed, like adding Bellatrix Lestrange to the end scene - while in fact she was never there. Snape and Malfoy also are painted a lot worse in the books than in the movies. Probably my least favourite because Harry has to suffer so much and because it‘s the last one with normal Hogwarts school life in it which I happen to love to read about.

This is their 5th year where they write their OWLs and it has a lot of academia in it, it is the longest book and aside to the Umbridge scenes it is very enjoyable to read for Potterheads as it has the most detail that didn‘t make it into the movie. The audio book is again really well narrated by Stephen Fry.

It‘s amazing how much more detail the books have, how much more sub-plots and character development than the movies and this is the first book where the movie not only cut large chunks out, but also added stuff that really is a lot better in the book. Like the French students only being female and frail and doing a silly dance and the Bulgarian students only being male. The audio book version is great.

I like this one especially, because it has a lot of Hogwarts school life in it and beautiful moments. It‘s the first that is quite different to the movies and the book story makes a lot more sense to me and has a lot more character background. Listened to the Apple audio book with Stephen Fry as narrator who did it really well.

Apple Audio book version. Didn‘t finish, it‘s good, well written, just a tad bit sad. More a book for autumn/winter time when feeling nostalgic (since it plays in the 90ies).
