Aww very cute and good. I liked the characters and their relationships seemed realistic. I was a little worried about Ruthie and how conservative she was but I think things progressed at a pretty natural pace. I’m happy with how it ended.

MUCH better than the last book, in my opinion. Dark Age was too much of the same thing (a depressing thing at that), same battle whole book. Lightbringer had a variety of locations and occurrences , as well as some hope which was lacking in Dark Age. Yes, there was disappointing parts but offset with hope and success. I think I lost a lot of hope when Sevro left Darrow and it finally started coming back as they’re reunited, even if all isn’t well at first. I’m happy Diomedes and the Rim kept their word and are standing with Darrow. I’m happy with Lydia’s journey, though I’m disappointed she got rid of metal helper. I liked Aurae and I really liked all the passages about the Path. I was satisfied with Cassius’s redemption, though as soon as he and Darrow had their big moment near the end, I guessed he would die. I hope more turn on Lysander- first Pytha then Glistares’ old servant when he finds out how Lysander betrayed his master. I hope Lysander feels so tortured. I liked the battle of Darrow and Fa and am excited for more of his new sword style. I’m glad Atlas is dead though I didn’t think it could happen. I am interested in the next book and I want more of Pax’s point of view and scenes with him and Electra.

This was okay, exactly what I expected which is good but a little bland.

This book is very well written and there’s passages I have highlighted as lessons and to remember. However, this book, like many in the series, was hard. The state of the universe, its affairs and people, is dispersing and hard to read. I want the book to be over and yet I want to read more. As someone who enjoys happy endings and dislikes turmoil and trouble, these books can be torture. I did not reread the prior books and had some difficulty remembering the characters and what happened but also knew I couldn’t read them all together (too long and painful). I always wonder if I should stop reading this series…

I enjoyed this as much as I could considering the ending. I did think that this story was setting up books for the siblings but I didn’t imagine
this story wasn’t complete. That annoyed me- both Cooper’s actions and ending without ending, kind of a cop out in a short story.
However I am really looking forward to the Reunion but sadly have to wait until it’s available at my library. I liked Larkin and Ford so far (I love a super competent woman and a man who appreciates her).

I heard good things about this and looked forward to it… but meh in my opinion. I hate that so many years later
neither of them have moved on and can instantly say “I love you” again. Also he just accepted that he’s not meant for more? What depressing lesson- yeah maybe he likes small town life and maybe he tried carpentry and didn’t like it which is okay!! But the way it was written about (granted it’s a short story), I just felt bad for this ungifted character.

Quick read, didn’t really stand out unfortunately. Didn’t love the connection or banter.

Not sure if I just wasn’t feeling it or if it really didn’t click for me but I didn’t like this 🤷🏼‍♀️I held on just to find out what would happen when Aiden found out and skimmed to the ending finally since the book was almost due and I just kept avoiding it. I wanted to give it more of a chance since I feel like so many people really liked it but it gave me the ick somehow (not sure if these supposed super attractive amazing characters needing to pay for flirting/sex or that then she’s working for him and their forbidden relationship not hitting right).
