MUCH better than the last book, in my opinion. Dark Age was too much of the same thing (a depressing thing at that), same battle whole book. Lightbringer had a variety of locations and occurrences , as well as some hope which was lacking in Dark Age. Yes, there was disappointing parts but offset with hope and success. I think I lost a lot of hope when Sevro left Darrow and it finally started coming back as they’re reunited, even if all isn’t well at first. I’m happy Diomedes and the Rim kept their word and are standing with Darrow. I’m happy with Lydia’s journey, though I’m disappointed she got rid of metal helper. I liked Aurae and I really liked all the passages about the Path. I was satisfied with Cassius’s redemption, though as soon as he and Darrow had their big moment near the end, I guessed he would die. I hope more turn on Lysander- first Pytha then Glistares’ old servant when he finds out how Lysander betrayed his master. I hope Lysander feels so tortured. I liked the battle of Darrow and Fa and am excited for more of his new sword style. I’m glad Atlas is dead though I didn’t think it could happen. I am interested in the next book and I want more of Pax’s point of view and scenes with him and Electra.
