This book is a lot more dark then you’d think. A second chance romance means a story about grief, and grief can be hard to read about. Overall I gulped this story down, I really liked it, I love Emily Henry’s writing, but I did give an eye roll to the reason the romance ended in the first place. I would definitely read again if my tbr was shorter.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. There is something nice about reading a book where you know the ending because it’s a Beauty and the Beast retelling. I thought the imagery was beautiful and the love story was heart warming.

I enjoyed this read, one of my favourites from Reid. Found it really easy to consume. My only critique is the lack of buildup, and emotion for a sad part of the story. I am a cryer at heart and I didn’t shed a tear. Overall I recommend!

This book was so reflective and I love the message it portrays. I will definitely come back to re read this in a few more years.

Honestly, I can’t even recall the first half of the book, but the second half , especially the last quarter was gripping and I enjoyed it. To be completely candid this book did leave me feeling emotional unstable given the dark ending so keep that in mind when the ending nears.

I have to agree with every other review under this book and say the ending is worth it, the twists at the end felt never ending and I loved them. But to be honest I didn’t not care for the first 3/4 of the book.
