A Risk on Forever by N.S. Perkins

See it's something about a character driven story that's full of heart felt letter that will get me every time! This was my first time reading by this author and I'm ready to read her entire back list!
This story starts off with Adelaide going into to work at her local coffee shop just to be fired and sent home same day because the coffee shop wasn't keeping steady business. While sitting in a park next to her old job, she see a job posting online for a caregiver that closes that day. In desperate need to find a job asap to keep her family afloat, Addy sprints to the nearest bus stop to go to the address listed. When she arrives the interviewer, Matthias, is instantly put off by her but his mother, who has ALS, loves her. So when Matthias grudgingly hired Addy to be his mother's new caregiver, his and Addy's life takes a complete 180.
If you are dealing with grief of any kind or if you lost someone physically or emotionally, this book will have you deep in your feelings for not only about the loss you experienced in your life but for the different levels of loss in this book. I knew this one was going to be an emotionally ride but Helen's relationship with her son and her caregiver Addy had me mourning a death of someone that's simply ink on paper. My heart smile but also sob so much while reading the letters Helen left for her loved ones throughout the book while we were able to experience their love forming in the present. Yes, this book is a romance but it left me with some many life lessons and drove home to me that life is to short not to be happy with the ones you love.

Whoa Chile!!!!! Boy did I have a time last night!! This was my first time reading from this author and baby!! It will not be my last because they way she had me in shock and awe at the lengths Josiah will go to make it known that Majesty is still his woman no matter what she says, is top tier toxic and unhinged and I loved it!
This story starts off with Majesty on a date with a potential new man when all of a sudden she’s snatched away from her dinner table by the man she can’t seems to escape, her crazy in the head ex, Josiah. He has plans to show her what she’s been missing for 6 months while trying to win her back but Majesty ain’t with his mess but for some reason her body can’t seem to get the memo and not bend to his will.
This man straight out the gate said “You want me locked up, right? That’s why you keep “ducking” with me!” Like sir!!!! Y’all broke up months ago and you over here threatening her dates life?!?! I’m in love with that energy! Burn the world down over your woman even when you are in the wrong! In less than 70 pages you get to see Josiah go from not being a romantic, being crazy and unhinged, and not fully understanding where he went wrong in their relationship. To reaching out for help with his relationship, taking ownership and accountability for his part in their break up, actually apologizing and putting action to the things he said he would do better with!! All while breaking her back in half for thinking she could walk away from him! This was pure gold and I ate it up! Can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series!

Wow! Just wow! I cant believe this was Lane's Debut novel! The way 16 year old me felt so seen and loved while reading this book was truly remarkable. Pure Gold!
This story starts off with Michelle or "Michie" struggling with the whoas of getting ready to graduate from high school and stressing over getting into the college of her dreams while wondering how she's going to pay for it. Then life does what it does best, comes in and turns everything on it's head. During all the craziness of preparing for college, her biological mother who she doesn't have a good relationship with, tries to come back into her life while Michie is also trying to deal with this budding chemistry with the new basketball player, Derek. How will Michie handle all of this at once?
When I tell you this book read me for filth, uncovered some issues I thought I dealt with years ago, all while making me smile and swoon over new love. I thought I was walking into a cute YA romance not realizing I would be reading a book that closely resembles my life's story and how there's a light at the end of the tunnel. This is a story that many people can relate to and learn from. It might not be easy to read in some parts but you will feel complete and in awe at how far therapy, love and support from your friends and family, and believing in yourself will take you.

I came for the vibes but left disappointed. To me the smut was just ok and the story line was kind of dull.

Did I stop everything I was doing at work to read this book? Yes!
Did I take my kindle to the gym to finish reading this book? Yes!
Did I cry on the treadmill when the book was over? YES!
This was the last entailment of the creature cafe series and I couldn’t be more proud and sad at how beautiful the Barista, Lucy, and Trixie came together as one in the end. As you can tell this story is about the Barista and his ex Lucifer coming head to head to finish a war between the two that has caused so much damage over the year. Lucy doesn’t want monsters and humans to be together and he’s trying to do whatever he can to stop the Barista from match making them together. As Lucy gets ready to confront the Barista once and for all, there a huge but tiny wretch throw in his plans by the name of Trixie and she has the capability to bring them both to their knees.
It’s been days since I fished this series and I can’t believe that’s over! Like what am I supposed to do without the Barista and his family he created of monsters and humans and all their little off spring that keep popping up out of no where. All I can say is, this series is easily one of my favorites this year. From the angst the drama, the good times and the bad, all of Lucy’s craziness and the tention a between the Barista and Trixie will truly be missed. I’m so glad the three of them where able to find comfort peace and happiness within each other. I’ll will forever be a Barista Bae and I thank this series for starting me on my monster romance journey!

If you are looking for a dark mafia book that a wild and crazy ride, you’ll have to suspend your disbelief, will leave you with your mouth wide open during some chapters, has a fmc that a little annoying but she serves a purpose and she doesn’t back down from a fight, and has a mmc that has a few wires crossed upstairs but you find yourself really drawn to him and his troubled past. Then this book is for you!
This story starts off with Gina and her husband Toni, who works in the mafia, leaving the church they just got married in to head to the airport to go on their honeymoon. When all of a sudden their driver pulls over and they are surrounded by men with guns who kills Gina’s husband in front of her, hits her over the head and takes her to this unknow location and lock her in a prison cell. The Don in charge, Draco “Jefe”, finally comes to see her after a few days and immediately takes her out of the cell and put her in a room in his mansion. Gina can’t remember where she knows him from but he knows exactly who she is and he plans to keep her forever.
Listen!!! This book had me screaming, yelling, looking crazy with my mouth open, and left speechless at the things Gina goes through in this book. Draco isn’t your average mafia book boyfriend. Nothing about this man is sane, sweet, or even pleasant. You will more than likely end up hating him for the way he treats Gina and his staff. He’s way of teaching his people a lesson is very different and I want to understand the way his mind works the way it does and how did he get to be like this. Needless to say I’m intrigued and I’m going to continue on with the series!

I’m not a huge fan of friends to lovers but this novellas was cute and enjoyable.
This story starts off with Vice sitting outside of the county jail to pick up his longtime bestfriend Ari because she lost her mind and vandalized her ex -boyfriend’s car when she found out that he was married and just had a baby a month ago. After Vice and Ari make their way back to his place to crash for the night, they have a small fight about Ari deserving better and Vice wants to be the man for her but he feels like their friendship is too important to him to mess it up and he doesn’t think Ari wants a man like him. Ari finds Vice attractive and is very protective of him but doesn’t want to mess up their good thing.
The story was cute and fun to read but I felt like it was missing something. That could be because I don’t read enough friends to lovers but I left wanting more.

This is about incest between triplet brothers. So if you can’t handle it, don’t read it.
This was my first book by this author and I loved it! This is a very emotional quick read about three brothers finding their slice of happiness in the world after being emotionally and physically abused by their father.
Honestly my heart ached for these brothers and all they went through. I didn’t really care for how the story ended. It’s seemed very rushed to me but I’m glad they found their HEA and comfort in each other in the end.

5 stars! Chiefs Kiss!! Will be rereading! If I could sum this book up in two words it would be: Delicious Tension! Christian and Gianna is a classic enemies to lovers with a lot of spice, mafia danger and sprinkle in a little bit of close proximity. Danielle knew what she was doing when she put these to characters together. With their hilarious banter, heart wrenching backgrounds, and sexual tension, you will want to stay up all night just to see if they make it out on the other side or do they crash and burn in a delicious way.
