Passion & Venom by Shanora Williams

If you are looking for a dark mafia book that a wild and crazy ride, you’ll have to suspend your disbelief, will leave you with your mouth wide open during some chapters, has a fmc that a little annoying but she serves a purpose and she doesn’t back down from a fight, and has a mmc that has a few wires crossed upstairs but you find yourself really drawn to him and his troubled past. Then this book is for you!
This story starts off with Gina and her husband Toni, who works in the mafia, leaving the church they just got married in to head to the airport to go on their honeymoon. When all of a sudden their driver pulls over and they are surrounded by men with guns who kills Gina’s husband in front of her, hits her over the head and takes her to this unknow location and lock her in a prison cell. The Don in charge, Draco “Jefe”, finally comes to see her after a few days and immediately takes her out of the cell and put her in a room in his mansion. Gina can’t remember where she knows him from but he knows exactly who she is and he plans to keep her forever.
Listen!!! This book had me screaming, yelling, looking crazy with my mouth open, and left speechless at the things Gina goes through in this book. Draco isn’t your average mafia book boyfriend. Nothing about this man is sane, sweet, or even pleasant. You will more than likely end up hating him for the way he treats Gina and his staff. He’s way of teaching his people a lesson is very different and I want to understand the way his mind works the way it does and how did he get to be like this. Needless to say I’m intrigued and I’m going to continue on with the series!
