A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young
4.25
An exhilarating and sweeping mystery set amidst gorgeously spooky forest vibes. Adrienne Young is a master with words, she kept me hooked start to finish! She’s officially an auto buy author for me.

The FMC and MMC traits didn’t really do it for me. Cute concept though!

A very sweet slow burning cowboy romance. The characters are all so loveable. Just the right amount of plot and spice. I really had fun reading this one!

A deliciously steamy gothic dark academia romantasy. Devoured this!
The Unfortunate Side Effects of Heartbreak and Magic by Breanne Randall

Cozy but a little too slow of pace for me to remain engaged. It took me 3 months to read this and I only finished it out of spite. The plot often felt muddled, the recipes were cute but got annoying, would’ve loved for them to be compiled in the back or at the beginning. Sadie, our FMC, is more often than not, a very pathetic, fearful, and disempowered character throughout the book. Her entire identity and journey is built around rejection and fear of rejection. These characters are dull, the world felt dull, even the magic was dull. Lackluster all around!
Rebel Girl: My Life as a Feminist Punk by Kathleen Hanna

I devoured this in one day. This is without a doubt the best memoir by a musician I have ever read. Real, raw, unpretentious and authentic from start to finish.
If you enjoy music history, read this.
If you enjoy feminist and political theory, read this.
If you’re a girl and want to start a band, read this.
