Gila. Emang buku-bukunya Akiyoshi Rikako diluar nalar semua. Keluarga psikopat. Selalu gabisa ditebak endingnya bakal kaya apa.

Normally the middle child of a trilogy only serves as a bridge. Only to extend & prolong the story so there would be enough for a tri instead of a duology. But this doesn’t feel like that at all. Of course the introduction of Johanna & Finnick is my favorite part of the book. What still baffles me is how you remove just one aspect- any one thing or person or trait- and the story wouldn’t work. But in no way does it seem forced. That’s truly incredible.

I finished it in <24 hours. I never do that anymore ever. And there’s nothing more to say that hasn’t been said about this book. It forced me to keep reading.
Like most commoners, I watched the movies first. Pleasantly surprised the books aren’t that much different, and reading it just felt like rewatching the movie with a few additions, in the best way possible.

how do I even begin. the beginning of the book. heartwrenching. the team slowly building up and actually built a team bond. nikolai. my sweet sweet nikolai. zoyalai seeds being planted. the darkling finally losing everything. the damage of the survivors. the remnants of all of it. but the real champ here is the after. i haven’t read the bonus yet but the after was so good i have to give some time before i read aleksander’s extra something something.
but the last chapter got me torn between malina and nikolina. like my brain knows it’s gonna be malina from the start but since siege & storm my heart is nikolina’s idc.
