This was one wild messed up dark ride.  I loved every second of it! Karson did take some time to grow on me, but by the end I loved both of these brothers.  I felt so much more of a connection between these three than I did in the first book, and it made it that much better.  I loved how well the title tied in with the book.  I loved how these two showed different kinds of crazy love, and I loved the sassiness of the FMC.  This book is for those who like the truly dark and depraved reads.

The audiobook was phenomenal and was part of my Everand subscription at the time, so bonus points!  This book is for those who absolutely love the shockingly dark romance books with completely a depraved MMC.  The spice was top tier, and extremely dirty.  The plot was definitely unique as well.  I did sometimes find a lack of connection between the MMC and the FMC even after they establish a relationship, but I overall really enjoyed this read.

I flew through this book.  I love a good MC romance, and this one had my favorite found family trope highlighted well.  The second chance romance and single mom trope also played a big part in this book.  These two had an angsty high tension relationship that I lived for.

Second chance
Enemies to lovers
Secret pregnancy
Found family

This book was a quick easy read, but I did enjoy the first book a little more.  These two just didn't have the same angst and connection I loved in the first book.  The plot was a little predictable.  That being said I still love the found family trope and overly protective men that come with this mc romance.

I love this trilogy so much!  Raven is probably in my top ten book girlfriends of all time.  She's a little impulsive, but her stabby vibes have me drooling over her.  I'm also a sucker for Celian because he's ultra protective, possessive, and he's quiet and broody.  I think the silent deadly types are the hottest.  I love this interesting take on mafia romance, and I recommend this trilogy all the time.

Dark Mafia romance
Strong FMC
Ultra possessive MMC

This trilogy was so enjoyable.  I love how strong Ava is and I love her sassiness.  I love how Dean's friends are also protective of Ava.  This feels a little like a found family, and I'm here for it.  This book has a lot of suspense and a lot of secrets.

This was an enjoyable beauty and the beast retelling.  The spice was amazing, and the retelling was on point.  It was well written, but I did find parts a little predictable.  It was set at a great pace, and the secret society gives this book great gothic suspense vibes.  I love how this couple goes from enemies to couples goals.

I think I'll give a different book a try from this author, but I think a novella was a poor choice on my part.  The spice was great, but there was no development of the romance between Hades and Persephone at all.  There was time that elapsed that the book referenced where they grew close, but the actual scenes were mainly erotic scenes, so it felt very much like a kidnapping that went straight to Stockholm syndrome because of it.  I love Hades and Persephone retellings, but this felt so close to the original story, but without the connection I love feeling between Hades and Persephone.

What to expect:
Lots of spice and K!nks
Hades and Persephone retelling / fantasy
Kidnapping

"If you were mine, Iris, there would be no doubt what position you would hold in my life. You'd be center. I would play you at the five."

This book has ALL THE FEELS.  I am so in love with this book the premises of this book, and how beautiful it is.  It was real, raw, and emotional.  I binged this book in a night.  The connection between August and Iris was beautfiul, and August is book husband material.  He's so patient and supportive.  He never gives up on his dreams, and he's not scared to take a long shot.  I love both of these characters, and this is a story where I think this couple was made for one another.  I'm sorry I sat on this story for long.  The themes are heavy, so be prepared for a messy ride and an emotional journey.

What to expect:
Single mom
Tragic past / girl in trouble
Sports romance
Emotional story

I listened to this one on audio because Joe wrote and narrated his own book which is hella cool.  As always the narration is spot on, and I have zero complaints in that department.  I will said I listened to Butcher and Blackbird (also narrated by Joe), so it was kind of a trip to hear Joe's Irish accent calling the FMC blackbird in this book too (I am aware this book was published first, but it had me smiling, and I'm curious on his thoughts when he narrated Butcher and Blackbird). The book was a great easy read with some amazing tropes.  The concept was unique in a way, but the love story was easy to predict.  Now, there's nothing wrong with that and I by no means am saying that as a negative thing.  I think this book is a great sweet romance story and perhaps would make a good pallet cleanser.  I LOVED the groveling of coarse, and the spice was good.  The chemistry between the characters was effortless. I also feel like I might have gotten a glimpse into Joe Arden's life.  I just kept catching little glimpses of him in the MMC.  Overall an enjoyable easy read.
