Glint by Raven Kennedy

Giving this book a 3.5* rating because I was bored with it most of the book. Nothing happened for a while and I actually put it aside to read something else. Had to pick it back up to finish it though because I'm very curious to know what happens next. Nothing very big happened 'til the end but there was still an unexpected event and I'm very curious for the next.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland: By Lewis Carroll by Lewis Carroll

Between 2.5 and 3* because... I am SO very confused by the whole thing.
I am confused by the original movie, I enjoyed the first live action movie with Johnny Depp as the Mad hatter and kinda iffy with Through the Looking Glass.
Anyway, I found a copy for Audible really cheap, like really really cheap, and thought I'd give it a go as I always found Alice to be an interesting story even though I didn't get it all 100%. I had some errands to run and decided to listen to it while I was walking to the stores and while I was shopping. I finished it all, which is awesome but, I am still so very confused. I don't know if it's because my focus wasn't completely on it or whatever though so, for sure, I'll have to give it another go at some point.
I didn't dislike it and I knew what to expect. It is a great story, for sure, it took a lot of imagination to come up with this and it is really nice. All the characters are fun, too. I just thought that the plot advanced kinda weirdly... and, I also felt like there wasn't really a plot to it all. The ending making it seem like a dream rings so very true, also... I mean, who cannot tell they dreamed of weird stuff such as this before? I sure can't!
I'm glad I got myself a copy for sure. I do have to say that I didn't really like how the story was read. I felt like the reader was sort of robot-like... I'm not sure how to even explain it. I had heard a sample by Scarlet Johansson and I wish I had her version instead. Oh well, my version is read by Michael Scott. I definitely do not have the right book cover for this either but I couldn't find it for some reason so...
I'm surprised but glad there was only 12 chapters to this as I was already confused enough by it that if it'd been longer, I don't know what I would have done.

Signs of Cupidity by Raven Kennedy

I haven't laughed this much while reading a book as I did with this one in a very long time. I highlighted and noted a bunch of things, which I never do.
Who knew being a cupid would have so many rules and rankings and sort of a police office or whatever. Quotas to fill or what have you? Giving love, and such and never getting anything in return for yourself would definitely be sucky and I probably wouldn,t be able to deal.
I loved Emelle and Ronak, Evert and Sylred and fun to read. Especially Evert. The flirting and everything.
If I had had enough time, I probably would have reasd this in one day. Maybe two max but real life obliges. It was a really fun and fast read and I cannot wait to continue to read Emelle's adventures in the fae realm!!

I'm not a huge age gap girl but I had to give this one a shot because I love Michelle's work (the ones I read before are *chef's kiss*. This was a very easy and fast read and I basically devoured it.
Alistair and Chiara are just amazing and I am intrigued by so many things when it comes to their back stories now. As for Chiara, there is a mention at the end about having a story for Max and I really wanna read that one, too.
I definitely recommend this one. Well done.

I never read poetry. It's not something that's ever truly interested me if I'm honest but I had to read this one no matter what and though the writing felt odd, to me, I know it's not because this is dating and that's usually how poetry works anyway.
The Raven is more than a classic and it is a very good one. It's going to take a few reads before I truly understand all of it but I couldn't rate it any other stars because it is good. It's just me and my understanding of the text.
