The Vampire Wants a Wife by Andie M. Long

Not quite a 4* and way more than 3*. This is a 3.75*.

This book had everything. I mean, there was humour, there was more serious tones, supernatural, romance and, yes, sex. Some kind of mystery, too.

However, I think the world building is kinda lacking and character development as well but I guess we learn more about Shelley anyway as we read more of the story so, that's good. I do wish there were more explanation on things though.

Also, I feel like the author zoomed through the ending, kinda rushed to get her HEA, in a way but there was a sort of cliffhanger and that's nice.

I am interested enough to get my hands on book two at some point. It was a fun read, I had a nice time with it.

Yes, this one was a bit hard to rate.

North Pole. Witches, vampires, squirrels, shifters, Mrs. Claus... Oh my!!

This was longer than I expected while still being short. It was a fun cozy and I definitely wanna revisit Holiday Haven. I liked Rory well enough and I think Bella did a good job with her characters but I wish she had spent more time developing them all.

There were a few mistakes throughout the book but it's alright. I'm just not sure why the author seems to refuse to use he/she. The amount of time she kept on using "my friend" and some other qualification to identify certain characters is kind of overwhelming. I get it but please...

Overall, I had a good time with this book and I will be diving into book 2 soon.
August: A Spicy Tale with Sunday Strange and Cosa by Gabi Salas, Gabi Salas

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This wasn't what I expected. I knew I was gonna read a spicy book but I didn't think it would be porn. Masturbation and sex and just a hint of a plot.

Seriously, I would have loved to read more about the actual plot. That was badly and barely done.

I really liked the similarities of the Strange family with the Addams Family and that Sunday was almost basically Wednesday but that's about it. I could have gotten behind Sunday and Auggie's romance but what happened to Auggie was just an "oh, okay, this happened." And how there is no explanation at all for their future or anything.

From the summary, this is really not what I expected, like I mentioned and I am disappointed. I am not going to read the next book, sorry.

This was a fun, fast read.

It felt a little different than other cozies I have read in the past where, usually, the main characters snoops around much more to try to figure out who the suspect is but I am not mad about this at all. I really liked Poppy, the cat. In all seriousness though, every character was likaeble in their own way. Gran was a hoot.

This is a new author to me and I liked this enough to want to check out the other books in the series and, probably, other works by the author.

This is a manga I had been eyeing for months and could only read now because it wasn't available at my store while some of the other volumes were.

I am so happy to have read this. This is all typical cat behavior and I loved it so much.

I feel there could be more to say about this but I cannot find the words.

Did not finish book. Stopped at 22%.
Somehwere in chapter 9, I decided to give up. I don't know. I'm not a huge Alice in Wonderland fan to begin with but I wanted to give this a try. It's so weird and feels so off. I tried, I really did.

How can I not rate it 5 stars? Seriously. That episode is one of my most favorite in the whole entire series and most definitely one to put on a MUST WATCH list to introduce new fans to the series... even if OMWF covers and opens doors to a lot of things that happened before and making you wonder what's gonna happen next. And, boy, do things move after this episode... Hold on to your seats...

I love that this script exists. I was actually singing the songs as I was reading them and I could clearly see the scenes in my head as I kept on reading. It also made me discover something I hadn't caught on in the show with one of the pictures taken from shooting the episode.

I love how the script is written. It gives a good idea about every episodes of every seasons and how, maybe, it was on set as well. And I also love that we got to see (well, read) what was cut from the actual episode. Nothing too big, nothing major, just little things that actually didn't make the plot move along, I guess but I like it anyway.

I cannot, for the life of me, read music so, for me, I could have done without the sheet music at the end but I can see how people would appreciate it. Then again, there's a whole soundtrack that's available... Oh well. I did enjoy the behind the scenes stuff as well. References from little things that were mentioned story wise or just in the script as is, outside of the story. I like details like this, that was neat. And the added pictures were also fun. I would have liked more behind the scenes stuff like pictures between scenes and such or bloopers type things but I guess we can't have everything, can we? There were some experiences from the shoot and songs and all so that is very cool.

Definitely a must if you love Buffy the vampire Slayer and you collect stuff from the show! ♥♥

This short story was suggested by the author himself, Michael C. Sahd when I asked to have recommendations/suggestions and after reading the summary on Audible, I was intrigued and decided to give it a go.

I like sci-fi, I really do, but there was something about this short story that made it so I couldn't get into it at all. I don't know if it's because I felt like it was missing some backstory or if I started in the middle of something which made me start over to make sure or if it was the narrator's voice but I just couldn't enjoy this story to it's just value. I listened to this on my way back from work, in the bus, at 1.35x.

I love when i can get to know the characters more but this felt too fast. I couldn't side with anyone, I couldn't like anyone and I was just confused overall. I see a lot of good reviews for this and I feel bad but it happens I guess. Maybe I wasn't as in the mood for this one this time and I'll enjoy more another time? I don't know.

I definitely liked this book better. The writing remains the same and with that came flaws but ok. The character development on Christian was great though maybe a bit too fast considering how all of this happens in a short time. I didn't mind too much. I felt Ana remained the same way though she became more in control of herself and that's awesome.

The book tended to lose my attention and I felt like skimming over some pages and chapters but only did for the last 2.

Having seen the movie, I couldn't help but compare the two and I have more opinion about the movie than I do the book; like Leila and Jack to name only that but that's movie related like I said.

It took my longer to read this one. Mainly because I didn't find it as funny/humorous as the first one but also because I didn't get to read 3 chapters while at work and I spent a few nights without reading also. I mean, I like my TV shows and movies too, you know. And chatting with friends.

Did I enjoy this? Yes and no. It was pretty uneventful aside from a couple things throughout.
Did I feel for either characters? I don't know actually. I think I would have felt more had it been written differently but things happened and my reaction was mostly "oh". but I felt a bit for them. I felt more for them in the movie, like I said in the review for Fifty Shades... I don't know, it's weird.
Would I read this book again in the future? More than the first book, I believe because it was overall better. If I am way bored, I could, too.
Will I read the last one? Yes. I have to finish the series.

Also? I might have picked up Darker today. I am missing Grey but it's alright.

I still suck at reviews. Maybe I'll improve...
