I always told myself I wouldn't read books that had shirtless muscled guys on covers because... that just wasn't me. Then, I saw the preview/trailer for this book and I got obsessed with it and I had to grab this book on KU.
Can't deny the hotness of the guy.
The synopsis intrigued me.
I spent the whole weekend (my weekends are different due to my work schedule) reading this book because I just wanted to know the characters and how the story would happen.
I? Loved it. From beginning to end. And the characters are endearing and I also loved how it gave me feels. Lots of them.
I have to say that the trailer is totally misleading though. And I thought it went a bit fast for the feelings to change. I think I wasn't even halfway through?!
Now I wanna read book 2 about Andreas and Jane. ☺

This was a lovely story with fun characters. Everyone's back story was interesting as well. I think I also prefered this one to book one.
Only thing is that the ebook was filled with typos. They didn't bring me out of the story or anything but it was annoying the amount of errors I found through the entire book.
I'm now considered pre-ordering book 3.

Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo
Review to come later. Probably about the 3 books altogether. Maybe.

O.M.G. What a roller coaster ride of emotions and smut this book is. Wow!! No wonder it took me so long to get through it. I mean, not only is it a huge book but dang, I had to take breathers. It wasn't intentional though. It's a total page turner and had real life not needed to be a priority, I would have sat down to read this non-stop.
At first, I disliked Ezra and I thought Josh was way, way too sweet. Then, Ezra grew on me and I started seeing the poor broken boy hidden deep inside. He was a bad boy but really, a big sweety.
This was my first Ella James book and I love it from beginning to end. I now need all her books. And I need a physical copy of this sooo bad. Hands down a top 10 for 2021.

This was a reread, in audio format. Jim Dale does a great job. Still missing S.P.E.W. and a few more details. Overall, how can I not rate this 5* anyway. This one is definitely one of my favorites in the series. ❤️❤️

Okay, I wasn't sure at first if I'd like it at all and if/when I did, how much but this was a ride. I was also told the other books are even better and I can't wait. I really like Auren. I want to like Midas but I'm unsure yet. Rip is totally intriguing. I really like the pacing of this story and it's pretty easy to follow, too.
I need to know what the secrets are. I need to know more now. Yesterday even!!
