I enjoyed this more than I expected, specially since YA isn't my usual genre but I'm glad I tried
I hated the ending though, I am not a fan of ambiguous endings, so for that I can't give it 5 stars

It was not what I was exp cting as its more paranormal than an actual romance but it was an ok book a little slow for my taste and honestly the whole time I was listening to the audiobook I kept feeling like I'd heard this story before .
But I do want to finish this trilogy

I would wait to read all three one after the other

I would give this 10 stars if I could. I've had this on my TBR for years because the thought of an entire book in verse wasn't appealing but I've recently started my own hip hop journey and felt right to try now. Even though I am Dominican my experience is so different from Xiomara's that at some point they meet and I was her and she was me even when I didn't get it.
A beautiful story that has left with a hopeful heart as I end this year

It was nothing like I expected but I loved that it was a full production and had a lot of fun. Would listen to more like this

The female main character was unbearable and if something happened in one chapter then the next chapter she either reminisces about it or tells her sister meaning half of the chapters in this book are unnecessary
I wanted to know how it ends so I kept reading but I did skip some chapters

I think maybe because I didn't read the Grant County series I dislike Lena so much and in this book there was so much of her that wasn't related to the case that just bored me.  The case was brutal but all the Lena stuff made this one of my least favorites so far

I really enjoyed this book and feel like the background information given was necessary but I just don't enjoy timeline jumping books

I really love this series! I hate Angie and I'm not sure if I like Amanda or not
